A RHPS remake? WHAT??????
Movie bosses at MTV have announced plans to remake cult classic THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.The new film will use the original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O'Brien and be overseen by Lou Adler - the executive producer on the 1975 hit, which starred Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon.Although casting decisions have yet to be made, Adler hopes the picture will be ready in time for October 2009.He tells Daily Variety, "I'd like to see it shown a year from this coming Halloween, but that's up to MTV."
They have to be joking. Leave the funnest movie ever made alone. I'm not kidding. How can they even think of recasting this???? MTV...suck my ass. It's August, and every August I run some RHPS..here's some Rocky Horror.

if they HAVE to redo it, consider neil patrick harris...check him out as the emcee in cabaret if you don't agree...was awesome

Just leave it the hell alone! It's a classic. Gawd! It's embarassing really. Why even think that? If they do make this, it will make so many ppl angry & mad at MTV. I already hate that channel anyway. I sure as hell wouldn't watch some stupid remake of one of my all time favs. Who do they think they are? Someone needs some money really badly, only reason!
it's just not MTV...orginality is DEAD apparently and so it's neverending remakes that are totally trash our happy memories and destroy the movie....

How can anyone EVER on this earth hope to top that? Thats one of my fav scenes DD! Dr. Frankenfurter's grand entrance. It's awesome. Once VH1 ran this over and over on Halloween. It was great! If anyone out there has never been to a midnight showing of this, you better go. I hear many venues are being closed due to lack of interest. Halloween is always big tho. But those Friday midnight shows are starting to go away people!!!! Take all your props! It's the best and dress up too.
Well theres several generations who don't even know what RHPS is let alone who stared in it and why it's become such an iconic classic.
If a newer & different version is made is just may open up a whole new wave of wanting to see the orginal. New and old can coexist without either being on the loosing end.
