The worlds most hated dog

There he is. Sigh. The dog that make me question my own humanity. How can I hate this dog so much? He's just a little animal. He may not be the most hated dog in the world, I'm prone to exaggerate when I'm full of rage, but, he's the most hated dog in this neighborhood of animal lovers, for sure. No one likes this guy. His owners don't even like him. He barks constantly because he's bored and crazy, but, he wouldn't be so bored if he'd act right. Someone might play with him if he'd stop being a bastard. He has a big fenced yard, but, he has to be tied up as well because he also bites. He's the little turd that walked in my front door and bit my leg. Nice. He also bites the mail woman, all the neighbors, his owners, their children..he pretty much bites everyone. Then he barks..yip yip yip all day long.
*
They have another dog, a German Shepard, she's the nicest dog. She comes over here a lot and we all love her. I told them not to bother fixing the hole in the fence where she crawls through, she's just visiting. But, THIS one..ukkkkkkkk. I call him Bite-a-weener. You think he's cute? I think he's a miserable animal. He seems mentally ill. Who's fault is it? I don't know. He puzzles me. I'll take suggestions, but, I warn you..I've tried to be his friend. It doesn't work.

What an attitude - you can see it in his face.

I don't dislike dogs, I support shelters and animal rights, but I confess am not a dog person.

My mum has a little dog like that one that deliberately shits in the house - it comes in to shit and then goes back outside! Barks at everyone, bites even kids. It is actually a rascist and goes even more crazy if it sees a dark skinned person.

Maybe they could take it to one of those animal blessings or at least ask St Francis for an exorcism???

maybe it's a wrong mix of breeds? I don't know....my aunt used to have a dog who was a mix of cocker spaniel and golden retriever I think....but that dog was vicious!!!! he was a sweet puppy, but after he 'grew up' he became an intimidating monster dog....I remember if I just peeked through the backyard door he would get really mad and jump at the door to try to bite me.... and he'd seen people several times and still was a little bastard.

And a friend of mine has a black lab/dalmatian mix dog and that one is another little bastard.

Both dogs being sweet puppies that grew into monsters, both dogs grew inside a loving and caring environment. Weird.

people can create an aggressive dog without realizing that what they are doing and how they are playing with them as puppys will shape how they behave as adult dogs.

To the owners: Take him OFF the chain and OUT of the yard and WALK him...jeeze.
Lots of people who are dog owners shouldn't be. Forget the damned yard, dogs are forward walking animals and need to do that. There is no better way to bond with your dog and to calm him than taking him for a good long walk twice a day. Then he can play in the yard. If you're not willing to do that then don't get a dog. By the way, looks like a little Jack Russell to me and these dogs need lots of exercise and bonding.

There's nothing wrong with the dog that a little human leadership couldn't fix. It's an insecure-dominant dog. Dogs like this were never shown how to behave so they behave aggressively. The owners don't lay down any rules or have any consequences for undesirable behaviour. It also needs way more exercise than it's no doubt getting.

People ruin dogs by treating them like people. Dogs are dogs and can't behave or understand like people. This dog is behaving like any insecure-dominant, under-exercised dog would.

I've had a jack russell, and they are one of the most hyper in dog world, smart too, but they HAVE to have energy outlets, walking at least twice a day, three is even better if you can manage it, like a short last walk before settling down for the night as well as active playtime.

If the dog isn't socialized, with people and other dogs, they will be agressive.

What you wrote about this dogs behaviour, he's positioned himself as the alpha and the owners have to re-establish that they are.

Anon 4:03 is right on the money that dogs do not think like people, they never will, they are dogs, either well trained dogs or dogs whos training has been neglected, no matter how well meaning the owners are. Loving animals doesn't mean your doing whats best for the animal.

I think the dog looks lonely, eager for attention and companionship.

Like all the hollywood twits who flash bare bottoms and vomit out car doors, this dogs just acting out, any attention is good attention when your starved for it. Dogs are pack animals who can and will go mean if segreated from their pack. pet owners become the pack. It's not hard to figure out, but its extremly hard to be consistent when trying to correct the problems a human created in the first place.

That picture makes me sad.

either learn how to treat that dog or take it to the vet.

Everything else is a desaster in waiting.

He looks like a Jack Russell. Those little guys have a natural Napoleon Complex. And they love to bark. At other dogs, at leaves , at birds, at wind. But usually never at people. I have a Jack Russell and she has never even attempted to bite anyone. The barking. That's a different story. I had to work with a muzzle to train her on "Inappropriate" times to bark. It took less than 2 days. They are extremely smart dogs and respond well to training. (She was housebroken at 3 months and had learned to paw the door blinds as a signal to go out.) And I would not chain her up. That's just too much. Somebody just needs to spend a little more time with him.
Sorry if I came across preachy guys. He just seems like a neglected child crying out for attention.

More ppl are bitten by dalmations than any other breed, even pit bulls. I was surprised to hear that from a friend of mine. So, they must have issues with strangers. But firemen still like them! Right? Anyway, this doggy may be a mean bastard. He needs new owners, he's cute. He needs his owner to be the pack leader and stop just leaving him all alone all the time to have to fend for himself. He's going to become aggressive. He's pissed off! He needs discipline & lots of exercise. Short haired dogs always seem to be more aggresive it seems.

Poor dog is tied up in the fenced in yard? No wonder he barks so much. Tell the neighbors to let him run a while and he will be too tired to bark and try to bite people.

My brother has a dog next door to him like this one. Try to make nice I tell him BUt the little bitch tries to bite him. I tell him to give it some dinner scraps. The dog will not eat them.( smart dog huh ?? ) well, the scraps are not poisioned or anything. This dog will sit and bark at you all the time.My 2 year old nephew was out in the back yard with my brother. When the front door opens up that damn dog runs around the house to their backyard and starts to bark. I told my brother the dog needs to go... plain and simple but what do you do when you are the only neighbor and that neighbor is a cop?
