Britney Spears - For The Record (Documentary Preview)
It seems too soon for this sort of thing. She should have waited a few years to explain her crazy. This is that kind of stuff that seemed to bring it on in the first place. But, I WILL be watching, nothing beats a Poontang interview. Airs November 30 at 10 p.m. on MTV.

She can't walk a straight line; how is she gonna set the record straight?. Newsflash!! Britney, you are not smart. I have sen enough interviews and candid moments to know that she is truly dumb. Lip-synching and good choreography are the pillars of her fame.

So true, 11:28. And yes, Dish, it's WAYYYY too soon for any sort of "For the Record" documentary.
Poon's still crazy as a shithouse rat, gobbling double-doses of psychotropic medications like candy, and now muses dopily, "I'ma smart per-son... Like what wuzz-I thinkun?
She has no business whatsoever working at her former back-breaking, full-throttle, star-making pace. If her parents (well, "Dad" anyway) was really looking after "her best interests", he'd have discouraged this premature re-entry into 'the business'. They were on the right track when she was teaching little kids "dance" at the Millenneum.
THAT was what she needed. Something to get her active and out, but with no pressure or expectations. Slow, baby steps.
In large part, her rush back into the spotlight is that fucking Larry Rudolph's fault, (imo.) He thinks he can wring a few more mil out of this poor girl via this doc, the new recordings, videos and the upcoming tour--- before she has one last final and spectacular meltdown that plants her permanently in the fun house.
Brit hasn't even really resolved her custody issues. Her 2 boys are G-O-N-E from her care. It's not a temporary order either. If she doesn't again pursue custody, Kevin has full custodial charge. Sorry, but that just doesn't sound to me like a woman who's "got it all back together" and is ready to tell her story.
i am nooo britney spears fan, but in her defense maybe she's not the type of person who's just not cutout for motherhood. i know of many people who have split up & the father takes custody. kevin seems to be doing a good job. she was young and in-love and clearly didn't think out her decisions.
1:43, you make an excellent point. It's true that some people simply aren't cut out for parenthood-- period. And it's unfortunate that they discover this-- after the fact.
However, I think Brit was always comfortable being a mother. I believe she loves those boys desperately and wants to parent them... (even if her methods seem curiously suspect at times, she appears earnest and I think she doesn't know any better).
When she quit touring in '04 and married Kevin, she wasn't running amok on the streets of LA in her underwear. She was HOME being "mommy". Even though there were rumors of trouble in the marriage, for all we know it could have been just that-- "rumors". It was only after the break-up that she dove headlong into partying with Paris Hilton and from there into a frightening meltdown.
Even after the past year of intensive treatment, she's still a very sick girl. A year of out-patient treatment in NOTHING.
Her HEALTH should be of paramount importance and that fact is being ignored so that all the people on her payroll can again enjoy the big money paydays they enjoyed when she was on top.
As for her "career", if ALL it was--- was what is WAS... it was spectacular. Why push her to get back "on top"? It's obvious to me she's being pulled in more directions than a pair of Spanx on Thanksgiving.
She's still young! When you're as big a star as Britney Spears, you needn't worry about being forgotten by your fans!
I realize we'll never know for sure... but I just don't believe that given her current state of mind, she's prepared emotionally, physically and psychologically for the rigors that lie ahead in the coming months. I just hope the culpable parties are around to pick up the pieces when she breaks... because it's inevitable.
