Dang, Elly May, someone done spent too many years sunnin' down at the cement pond.

she's pretty old tho. She looks good IMO. Same old Ellie Mae. I love her entrance music, as she comes down the stairs in a "purdy" new dress. That was very cool. Do we know how old she is? 70+
It's more about the fact that she's still rockin "Ellie Mae" hair, makeup and dress. It just looks tacky at her age.
If she were styled more age-appropriate, she'd be a gorgeous 70+ year old. And with her bright eyes and distinctive wide smile, we'd still recognize her!
She was in The Hungry Glass, a Thriller episode, in the very early 1960s, with William Shatner and Russell Johnson, who played "the professor" on Gilligan's Island. (If you look it up, don't read any spoilers!) To this day, even in black-and-white, it remains one of the most frightening productions ever. It was reported in the newspapers the following day, that it actually sent people, all over the country, to hospitals with fright-related problems. When I consider Donna Douglas, I don't picture Elly May Clampett, I always see her as Laura Bellman. ...the girl in the mirror. Interesting, too, that she was in one of the classic, instantly-recognizable episodes of the original The Twilight Zone. She had many roles, a lot of work, back in that era.
Jerry, Anything *that* scary, I've got to see. I've been searching everywhere and have only found reviews... Any suggestion on where we can rent it, buy it or watch it online?
A Google of boris karloff thriller hungry glass dvd comes up with complete collection of 67 episodes on 17 DVDs. The Hungry Glass was (Boris Karloff's) Thriller Episode #16 of Season #1, and was broadcast on Tuesday, the third of January, 1961. (I believe it was on NBC at 8:00 pm.) That's all I can find, so far.

She looks like a demented clown.
I read somewhere that she is 75.
Hope I look that good when I'm her age.

She's ridic! Lay off the makeup and wigs, you old brain deader.
I think she still does appearances as Elli Mae tho, she kinda has to ham it up.
