Fall beauty

Congrats to our buddy, Jebbica, who not only got a new pup, but, moved out of the ghetto into the country. Jeeez, that's gorgeous land. Your house looked really cute too. I'll bet Leo is happy. One question..who has to mow all that??? Holy moly!

Who has to mow--not me! :-) The landlord hires some guy to do it every two weeks...he has a bunch of fancy lawnmowers and stuff. I actually have to share our yard with 3 other families, but we're the only person who ever uses it! Oddly, everyone else uses the back.

If you dont mind, whats a rough estimate for land like that where you're at? Here, it would cost around 3-4k per month. We just bought a house, a decent front/back yard but nothing compared to that! I can only imagine the fun my kids would have running around. I see it now, a pool, a swing set, a trampoline, a merry go round, monkey bars, vegetable garden, green house....endless possibilities!

Well, I'm renting, it's a duplex, and there are two duplexes on the land (4 units). Rent is $475/month for a 2-br and to buy the whole property it's $180K I think.

OMG!!!! That is so cheap!

That sounds like an absolute steal! We bought our house with a quarter acre about 12 years ago for 90k, now it is valued at almost 300k--wherever there is a tiny piece of land available here, someone is subdividing, and building. The next street over someone just built four little rowhouses, tiny little space no real yard, and I think they are starting at 190k. It is so expensive here!

yeah last August before moving into our house we bought, we rented a crappy two bedroom with NO yard just asphalt for $725 a month....jessica's got it good!

I guess...land is pretty cheap around here! I looked at this gorgeous house for sale out in the middle of nowhere...5+ acres of land, pond, 2 floors and 5 bedrooms, a mini bar, and it was on the market for $210K. Come live in the South! If you don't mind country living and dealing with Rednecks all the time, that is!

I completely would! However I'm not too sure my husband would survive being Hispanic and all. Not to mention how our interracial children might get treated. I'd move in a heartbeat, but California's diversity makes it home.

We are heavily Hispanic-populated here. I would say we're at 35% where I live, and about 30 minutes from me, in Dalton, it's about 60%.

Well DAYUM! I could very well be in the wrong state LOL! What state in the South are you talking about? I want to google real estate to see. I wonder if we could still make the same income over there???? Anyways THANK you!

HOWEVER....what type of Hispanics? The kind that people admire for working hard & respect American values enough to assimilate, or are they lazy welfare breeders with Mexican flag waving and preaching about human rights?
