"If Holly says it's over, I guess it's over," Hefner said in a telephone interview Wednesday. "She's still here in the house. Until a few days ago, we were still sharing the same bed."
Hef was as surprised as the rest of us to hear Holly fess up about the split and he says he had no idea she was so depressed after her told her there would be no wedding and no babies..Hef: "The fact that she was depressed after that, I didn't know at all. That was a revelation in the last days and weeks. Quite frankly, we thought when the time came, we would make a combined statement and we expected that combined statement would be somewhere in the weeks and months ahead."
"It's now apparent there will be some new faces in my personal life and on the show," he said. "There's been moments that I've been down in the dumps about all this, and (personal assistant) Mary (O'Connor) told me to cheer up and pointed out that there are girls lined up outside the front gate. At my age, that's hard to believe, but it seems to be true."
Hef Added: "It's a big house," he said. "And I'm not going to live alone. I'm definitely not going to live alone."

I can't wait to see how this plays out. Being Hef's girl friend seems to be her only job qualification. So who knew there was no loyalty from women you pay?

well, how old is she? 26? 27? and she loves a man that says he will never ever marry her or have children with her. Whats she supposed to do. He's not young so her time frame for waiting on him to change is non existant. I don't blame her at all. If she wants to date Cris Angel or whomever, then so be it. She does need to date. Who didn't see this one coming. Her & Kendra are the youngest and have been kept from dating and it had to come to this, really. Bridgette seems the more mature, serious one and probably dates but more discreetly. She was living at the mansionway before the other 2 were! He will move in some more bunnies and the others will drift out. They will be fine! He won't abaodon them either. i'm sure there's always room for them at Playboy in some capacity. They make him money!
That SKANKZILLA!!!! But really, I cant blame her...her clock is ticking and the drive to motherhood is stronger than hell. Look at it this way, she's already a good mother for sacrificing her relationship/financial status to bring her progeny into the world....uh kind of twisted way but I guess it works.

Hefner must actually believe all those "girls lined up at the gate" are there because he's a hot 'n handsome, hunka-hunka burnin' masculinity! You can be sure this next "group" will be far larger than 3... He'll cull together an entire harem of busty, bleached-blond and heavily made-up 18 year olds.
How sad he is, and how far he's fallen from being the classy, erudite, sophisticated, man-of-the-world he once was... to being the pale shadow of himself you see today.
His behavior becomes more ridiculous with every passing year. Is being 'rich and famous' an excuse? I think not. Look at Paul Newman, for example. With his looks, charm and Hollywood connections-- no doubt he was the poon master in his day, and maybe into his dottage for all we know--- but that's just it. "For all we know".
He may have had an otherwise happy union with Ms. Woodward, but if he 'did' dick around in later years... he was discreet. He went to his grave with dignity. And PN's just one example.
Hefner must think he has to live up to the legend of being the "King of Playboy", when in reality he's nothing more than a pathetic old fool. His behavior in recent years, surrounding himself with teenaged girls... and that idiotic TV show-- *that* will be what people will remember him for. And that's just sad.

It is sad when you have to use MONEY to get some tail. It applies to everyone who pays for tail. But his girlfriends are equally guilty for willingly exchanging favors for his money. Like being private prostitutes. That's sad.

Remember that old millionaire married to Anna Nicole Smith, Howard J. Marshall? That guy was what, in his 90's?
He was once a bigtime attorney/judge/investor who, by the time Anna Nicole traipsed into his life (although he'd amassed a staggering fortune) he'd deteriorated into a creepy lecher in a wheelchair with less than half his mental faculties and not enough sense to blow his own nose.
Anna Nicole wrote that he'd sit there leering at her, muttering "Boobies.. Boobies.. Boobies" "Show me yer rosebud"... GAK!!!
