Congrats to Amy Poehler and Will Arnett on the birth of their first child, a boy named Archie. Archie weiged in at a healthy 8 lbs., 1 oz and he was born in NYC, last Saturday. Amy's labor was announced on SNL..what a way to start out, Archie.
A Dead Show? U kiddin' me? Their ratings are thru the roof. & Thursday's SNL is doing great. I know it's not the good ol' days. But they are doing pretty good. They do need a great lead talent on there tho. Everyone seems to be a follower, no one is leading them.
Every time they get good lead talent, the talent builds a following and then leaves. . .onto bigger and better, I guess. Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, Jim Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Eddie Murphy, Tina Fey, etc. the list is almost endless. I guess they do what they can in that format and then get tired of it. The same is true of many bands. Look at the Police, etc. The frontman often leads to do his own thing. I've been enjoying the SNL Tina Fey/Sarah Palin bits, but don't plan on watching after the election. Unless McCain/Palin win, and Tina Fey decides to continue her impersonations. There would be endless material.
