Depp as the Mad Hatter in Alice

I got so sick of Julia Roberts cast in umpteen films as the same charming girl, that I can't look at her now without feeling irritated.
At least Depp isn't obvious about feeding off his own charm the way Roberts is - that crap is nauseating.
Hollywood casting agents don't seem to draw from a very large pool so we see the same faces in the same roles for wayyy too long.
He looks like Edward Scissorhands mixed with Willy Wonka. And I'm sure that's what we can expect from his character in this flick.
That's just gross. I'm getting kinda sick of Depp's freaky incarnations too.

I don't hate Depp.
I loved him in What's Eating Gilbert Grape in particular. I didn't really care for him as Willy Wonka though. Extra, extra creepy.
i still love depp regardless :)
