His people say he never said any of the homophobic stuff. The reporter didn't have a tape recorder and just wrote whatever he/she felt like. When asked about gay marriage, etc...he tapped the bible and said something along the lines of "the book tells you to love everyone" or something like that.

Well no matter how you feel about Prince personally, he's one of the most talented musicians of our generation. But any way you slice it the situation is a little freakish. Anyone that thumps a Bible and quotes this passage or that passage is mental.
Why do these people (Bible thumpers) omit the passages about not judging and loving one another?

SNL did a funny skit once back in the 80's, about Micheal Jackson going door-to-door as a JW too. He was all decked out with the glittery glove etc. Had the Watchtower & Awake magazines with him. It was hilarious. I taped it. He used to say he loved doing that and did go out alot & participate in their preaching work too. How weird is that? 2 of the most reclusive, mega-talented music artists of this and the last century are both JW's? I can't even get my head around that. Neither of them is even audible when they speak, they are both super shy and they both seek privacy to the max. This religion is nuts. I know! If he knocks, let him in, tie him up and make him promise he will stop it now!!!!! Put some eyeliner on him & Then release him back to normalcy. LOL!

Naomi Campbell was raised one. Is not one now. Teresa Graves (Get Christy Love) is one. I am old to remember her!!! Anyway, lots of famous ppl are/were JW's. More ppl leave the church than convert each year. By the thousands and thousands. It's so controlling I can't believe Prince, who wouldn't be controlled by his record label would allow them to control his life! They do too. Your evey minute belongs to them and must be accounted for! I'm sure he gets some slack tho. I still love the guy. His bassist Larry Graham is an elder in the JW's and his last ex wife was a JW, thats how he came to be one.
In fact he couldn't marry her until he converted. She was really young, maybe 19 when he married her. They divorced a few years ago. He must have stayed with the church tho. Thats a tough one to stay with. I will shut up now!!
