Tom Cruise has been hinting for a week about what he'd do on Katie's birthday. He said he has something special planned for "my lady"..he's been talking crap. "You have to give your lady what she want." That raised my eyebrows, because it's been my experience that if a man calls you "his lady" you should run far away and you can probably expect something fancy like a new toaster because he likes his pop tarts. But, I figured hey, this is Tom Cruise right? He'll probably wow her and there will be photos. With Tom , there are always photos. Anyhow..no. Tom wasn't even in NYC for Katie's birthday, but, he did send a big honkin' cake up on stage at the theatre where she works. Katie blew out the candles with the staff from People Magazine watching and it was all noted "courtesy of Tom Cruise." *
Tom was all excited about his big surprise, “I planned it so that when she comes out for the standing ovation, John (Lithgow) would get the whole audience to wish her a happy birthday!"

why did he fly back to CA the day her b-day? or did they have a birthday party via webcams? i don't recall seeing pix of them TOGETHER the day before her birthday....

What's with Katie's lips? The lipstick application to make her lips look plumper only make her look sloppy. other ways to look better than that.

She loves all that stuff. She would have been lost in obscurity by now if Tom hadn't set his sights on her. She definitely married up, and he had to lower his sights from Scarlette and Penelope, to a D-list actress like her. They both benefit socially from it and they know it.
Her eye shadow, lipstick, and his foundation suck.

I don't see it that way at all. I think he's being very respectful and loving reffering to her as my lady.
Now if someone says MY woman, thats mine etc as in ownership, then the redflags would be waving.
As for why didn't he stay he probably had contractual obligations why he had to be back in cali. At least he went there the day before and arranged the cake thing for the night of her b'day, its alot more then most men would do.

"my lady" in of itself is not so bad; but Tommy is such a phony that most everything out of his mouth is scripted and rehearsed. He's an asshole. Never again will I pay for anything associated with him: Movies, etc
