Rest in peace, Majel Barrett Roddenberry

Majel died Thursday at the age of 76. She had leukemia. She was Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenberry's wife (he died in '91) and she was in every Trek. I loved her in Next Generation when she played Lwaxana Troi, a pesky mother of a crew member. What was supposed to be a brief cameo led to a full time roll because she was hilarious. All the obits are saying "she played the voice of the computer." Pffft. She was Lwaxana!

RIP.

She was Nurse Chapel too, in the original Star Trek. She lusted after Mr. Spock. Sad.

Yep. I hate the first Trek though. I love DS9 and NG. She was like Picards............Endora!

I love the entire Star Trek phenomenon and she will be missed. Wonder who will be the computer voice in any future TV shows.

She will be missed. I remember her in all those roles. Loved her as Lwaxana, though.
Sigh. Don't get me started on Picard. My husband didn't get why I thought he was so sexy. He had Captain Kirk beat, hands down.

Captain Kirk and the original still do it for me. Cheesy special effects and they still made it work. Plus Shatners over -acting is just priceless to watch.
