From the New York Times Style Magazine..their suck the Cruises ass edition. Tom tries his best to come off as a good likable guy. I thought he was a better actor than this because it doesn't work on any scale. He's pompous, ridiculous and creepy.

Ok i understand the dislike of the cult like religion he's involved in and even not understanding & being irritated with his whole couch jumping, interview messes that took place during that year.
What i don't understand is how it all gets twisted into hatred of the man. I'm not a gushy fan by any means, but compaired to 90% of the users in hollywood who appear to be morally bankrupt he's one of the 'nice guys'.
I think way too much was created out of thin air about tom and katie when they started dating and since it's only grown into the ridiclious from there. There is alot i question or don't particularly agree with, especially scientology, but i can't hate a man, a couple, because of it or based on nothing more then gossip.
Ahhh....yeah, they both come off as pretty likeable. I've got no shit with 'em. I do remember the night of Princess Di's death, CNN or whomever did a phone interview with him, and he seemed like a pretty decent person. Yeah, Scientology is wack, but hey, it's their life. It's all good, y'all......
My brother is a salacious, sneaky, self-righteous, self-catering, self-centered arsehole, but he wraps it all up in a congenial Good Guy demeanour and manages to fool nearly everyone with the facade.
Tom is creepy. That's all there is. He is a good actor who should keep his personal life and bizarre behaviors out of the public. But instead, he critizes Brooke for having PPD, screams on the Oprah couch, gets mouthy (with his 12 years of lower education) with Matt Lauer, marries someone who could be his daughter and molds her into a slightly more feminine version of himself and parades his daughter for photogs every day of the week. I'm sick of him.
I'm guessing it's because in the space of 5 years he went from being a likeable, charitable, bankable star of some pretty decent films to a narrow-minded, rude, lying, arrogant, self-righteous, controlling little general.. who just happens to be insane.

I started hating him after his rant on Brooke and psychiatry. That was the deal breaker for me.
