I think most of what Martha did was right. I grew up poor, on a little farm, and our marshmallow sticks were filbert or hazel, and yes, we did whittle the stick ends to get the marshmallows on easier. Meh on the sanding part, but it makes sense. Whenever my little family went on vacation, it almost always meant camping, sleeping in bags on the ground, in a tent. My parents would heat rocks in the campfire to wrap and put in the bottom of our bags to keep us warm at night. Alexis and her friend sound like a couple of do-dos.
I was just in a variety store looking at factory-made roasting sticks thinking that the ones you make yourself are always so much better - can't say why......maybe it's the slivers ingested from the unsanded tip?
ive seen this show advertised but i don't get the station it comes in on. does her daughter hate her or something? how in the world can someone make fun of martha stewart!! sure she may go over the top at times but you have to hand it to her, she can do it ALL. she's like america's nana
Alexis really makes fun of her mother in the clip, but I am sure she likes her money. Has Alexis ever had to worry about making the rent? I doubt it. She should probably think twice before she makes too much fun of her mom. The marshmallow thing looks a bit over the top, but it could be fun for those who have some time.
