Tryin' to have a nice dinner without the new baby and dad's all, like, why won't you sit down? I'm tired, everything's not a game, geeez. And mom's like, yeah she does that crap 24/7 but I'm the only one home to deal with it. How do you like them apples?

Tell me if I'm wrong..but, I think I'm liking these two more today. I like normal parents who just need a nap.

You hit it right on the head. These look like my friends out to dinner with their toddler. Dad looks like, man, is she always like this or what? The look on mom's face is priceless.
Hah. Precise.
I see sadness in her face...I originally thought she just seems tired (since she has a new baby and all). But the way she's looking at happy little Violet and the way Ben looks, it just seems like sadness. I hope I'm wrong.
Looks like tired to me. Violet reminds me of Liss there, on the rare times I scold her. She just puts her head down and goes to pieces at the heartbreak. Funny but so sad too.
ben is not a nice person; and neither one looks happy.
they look pretty beat. it must be way past nap time.
They look way past tired, but I like them. I love the way they are with their little daughter, and that they seem pretty normal. Mom might be a little bit post-partum depressed, too. That happens easily when you have the demands of a new baby, another young 'un who doesn't understand why the world doesn't always revolve around her anymore, and your body doesn't feel right, yet. I wish them rest.
right again, DD.
They look really "real" in those pictures.
I've been there, done that. They look like they are really raising their kids, not sending them off with nannies.
Ben isn't a nice person? I always thought of both of these parents as being pretty nice, especially as actors go. They look like typical young parents just trying to get through dinner and hopefully get some sleep tonight.
I know that look too. That look (on the face of both parents) says, "We will not be able to eat out in public for the next few months (at least)"
I remember that phase. It passes. But not to worry! It comes back when they are 4ish. That's when the "I want to see what every public toilet looks like" phase sets in.
They seem like excellent parents. How refreshing that they are teaching manners & social skills.
It's so rare these days and it is very sad. Too many lazy parents out there. Most have no manners or boundaries themselves.
Jen looks like she is handling the situation calmly. Ben is being real! That's parenthood.
