The Duggers oldest kid, Josh got married on TV last night. 20 year old Josh and his bride, Anna had waited until their wedding day to kiss. Anna's dad transfered "authority over her" to Josh and they wrote it into their vows that God would decided how many children they had. Jim Bob had a little birds and bees talk with the kid, but, Josh just wanted to get hitched, get the heck out of there, and make like "leggos." He sang to his bride during the ceremony and I had to flip the channel then..oh, man. Can you say TOOL? I flipped back in time to see the happy married couple checking into the local motel for the big weddin' night. I'm sure Anna had a great time. Cough. And I'm sure she is now pregnant (that's the pay as you play plan.) As for Jim Boob and Michelle, they now have 19 children, if you count Anna...and two of them are not virgins anymore. Big day in Dugger-ville.

That Dugger wedding
The Duggers oldest kid, Josh got married on TV last night. 20 year old Josh and his bride, Anna had waited until their wedding day to kiss. Anna's dad transfered "authority over her" to Josh and they wrote it into their vows that God would decided how many children they had. That is sweet, never kissed, wow, that's sweet -- and strange. Did anyone notice how much Anna looks like the Dugger mom? Guess he really wanted a girl like the girl that married dear old dad.
I do not like the transfer of authority over Anna. WTF? What religion are they anyway? I thought they were sort of mainstream, but very strict in their own family, Christians.
is it just me, or does he hand look photoshopped? it just doesn't look 'natural' against her wedding dress...but why someone would shop a thumbs up i dunno...
i find this whole situation totally creepy. not just the power thing, but the fact that they all want to breed their own armies for god.
also, i love how they always act like their wedding night is going to be so amazing... i mean, we've (mostly) all been there, the first time is almost never great. and i'd venture to guess that if you don't even know how to kiss someone, you'll need a nice long time to develop your, um, skills.
I'm just glad Anna's hair was slightly better than usual for the ceremony. She has the worst hair I've ever seen and what is she, a hunchback? I hope the Duggar girls give her some hair tips, I really do. They always have nice hair. Anna's hair always looks thin & like she's cultivating the wet look....plastering her hair to her head.

ha ha , jim boob...lol. I saw this last night, the first time I actually watched the show though not on purpose. I know all about the family. When he asked her to marry him their weird hugging was creepy and strange, How so you get marred and yet have never kissed the person. How are they going to have an adult life and know how to run a household. I bet these two have absolutely 0 life expierance. I'm soo glad I'm not a Duggar. I'll have to thank God for that one in my prayers tonight...ha ha.

yea, did you see when they were allowed to kiss? josh grabbed her face & flew at her. just like a very horny teen. i laughed my butt off. he definately couldnt wait & was thinking about it for a long time. she was more nervous & unsure what to do than he was.
i do like their show though. some things are strange but they are very caring towards eachother & they even allow their 'outsider' cousin be with them alot.
i never saw someone get their wedding car that decorated. tp inside, writing & then to top it off, the entire car was celo wrapped & he had to cut it off to get his little bride in there. he was on a mission to get to the hotel....
Nope, it's not photoshipped, yes Anna has very thin weird hair, but, she did look pretty on her wedding day. The car decoratiing was over the top. Josh WAS in a hurry. Jim Boob creeps me out.
Boy, You guys are so nice NOT the least bit judgmental.It may not be what you're used to but relax.
My daughter and son-in-law waited to kiss till their wedding day. And let me tell you they both said it was magic. There is something to be said for self control and anticipation. Everyone there could see the Love they shared and YES passion. These kids will not be bringing baggage into there marriage, they will never remember their first kiss and see some face other than their husband/wife. How many of you can say you have that kind of self control. Oh and as far as developing their skills they will learn together and will not have learned to kisses and enjoy kissing the way someone else kisses they will kiss the way they ENJOY it!
It's nice in this day and age to see someone realize that they have self-worth. Everyone acts so casual about sex, marriage and life in general. That's why the divorce rate is SO HIGH, sexually transmitted disease is SO HIGH and there is so much teen pregnancy.
The man having the authority is more him being responsible for his family. In the bible it tells the man to love his wife as Christ love us. That means love the wife enough to die for her. Most men run ant the first sign of trouble They have been thought to take responsibility for their wife and family. That is where real life experience comes in. These kids know how to be in a good marriage because they have seen it. They have happy parents (shows on their faces) who stayed together. What better real world experience I think you find it odd to see normal unmessed up people who haven't filled their life with trash and made lots of mistakes.
Congratualations to the new Duggar couple.
I didn't watch the show but it's good to see old traditions are still intact with some people.
