Harvey Levin..the same asshole who lets his brain dead staff make graphic sexual headlines about every celeb who eats a hotdog. The same guy who claimed Tori Spelling poisoned her unborn child with ice cream. The low life list goes on. And now this. Actually, I think some good could come of this. I know I'm taking an unpopular stance here, but think about it this way. Everyone hears about domestic violence, and violence in relationships. Actually seeing the damage an asshole out-of-control does to a celebrity, is different. There is no denying the pain and anguish she continues to go through. Someone needs to be the poster child for abuse, and maybe it's her. There is no possible justification for these injuries, and nowhere for the scumbag to hide, now that we have all seen what he did.
I hope he is pursued to the letter of the law, that she is blessed with the sense not to ever go back to him, and that any woman who ever thinks of dating him, pauses to consider what he did to Rhianna.
All I know is, I got beat up ONCE. It was bad and I was ashamed to be seen. If someone had posted it on the intenet I'd have crawled in a hole. Lucky for me, they didn't have the net back then.

Plus, all those who wanted to reserve judgement on the situation, due to all these rumors (Rihanna hit him first, it was self-defense, blahblahblah) now really have to understand that there is no justification for what Chris Brown did. There is no denying anymore that the guy went berserk on her.
Also, if it's true that Rihanna is thinking about taking him back, the public backlash might make her re-think that option.
There were alreay too many defenders of Brown left and had they gone back together he might have really got off scot-free.
I just wish I hadn't seen it. With her closed eyes it looked too much like a photo from the morgue.
And btw: Anon 4:47: I'm not so sure there were no cuts. I couldn't look at this picture too closely, but I also thought there were multiple marks like from a ring all over her. And for me that could just as well be cuts.

5:34:00 PM it was an ex boy friend and I never took him back even though he looked exactly like Kevin Bacon. I threw his clothes in his new girl friends yard and set them on fire. He came back once, broke my door down, but I was waiting that time. I broke his ribs with his own baseball bat and sent him to the hospital. I spent 48 hours in jail and it was worth it. He spent no jail time for breaking my face. Oh, and the original fight was over a dirty shirt. I didn't wash his favorite shirt soon enough for him. Live and learn, huu?
Is that really her in the pic? There's Roman numerals tattooed over the left shoulder on the woman in the pic. I don't recall seeing that on Rihanna before. Anyone who knows for sure?
If you've dealt with people who've taken beatings before you know without a doubt that there were visable laserations in that photo. It's obvious she bled in several areas.

It's a terrible thing that he didn't do some serious time for what he did to you, and that you had to do time. Not justice at all.

Christina ...I was sucker punched. That's the chickenshit of it all. We weren't hitting or pushing or anything. We'd had a fight over the shirt and he left. I figured that was the end of it. But, he went out and tied one on and pounded on the door. When I opened it, POW! No words at all and who'd expect that?? When I came to I was in a puddle of blood and he'd blacked both my eyes and broken my nose with one sucker punch. So, yeah, what I did was bad, but, he deserved it. He never fucked with me again.
Ever seen that documentary "crazy love" about a couple that have been together for dog years? No big deal, that, but the catch is that the now-husband threw ACID in his then-girlfriend-now-wife's eyes because she didn't want to be with him. If not him, no one! She was blinded and disfigured. She eventually took him back!?!??!! Anyway, victims return to abusers all the time. That move is compelling and shocking though. There they sit, together, like any old married couple. yikes.
Open-handed slapping can cause marks such as those seen on her forehead (that is probably ring damage as others have noted) and bleeding from the mouth, nose and lips. A forceful enough open-handed slap to the ear can puncture eardrums and cause concussion as well as blackened eyes, broken nose and even loss of teeth or facial bone fractures. He needn't have punched her at all to cause those injuries. A closed- fist punch to the face does a lot more damage than seen in the photo. Speaking from experience as a former punching bag, in my naive youger days.

I was taught never to hit girls as a young boy (almost sounds like Led Zeppelin's "Good times Bad Times" huh?) but a butch lesbian came after my friend for trying to pick up her girlfriend. Long story short, this butch bitch tried to hit my buddy with a bottle. My friend hit her so hard that her back hit the floor before her feet.
