Octuplet mom on disability

I'm not interested in typing out her whole interview, you can read it all over the net. HERE's one. The mother of 14 received $165,000 in disability from 2002-2008, for some sort of back/neck injury and as far as I know, that is her only income. I don't know what she was paid for this interview, but, she does have an agent. Nadya Suleman says she desired a big family because of a dysfunctional childhood. “I just longed for certain connections and attachments with another person that I really lacked, I believe, growing up,” she says.

All I know is Miss Suleman seems to be an attractive young mom and if her children are attractive too, and I have no reason to believe they aren't, then she is marketable. Like Jon Gosselin says about his multiple children "They're marketable." Indeed they are. There's a lot more here than meets the eye of the viewer and I don't think the "marketability" of multiple babies is lost on anyone. Specifically the fans of multiple families who are ordering fertility drugs over the Internet and anticipating their own show...and all the riches that go with it.

I wonder how many multiple babies will be born in the next 5 years who will be abandoned or grow up unloved because they are NOT marketable?

breeding for greed---the get rich quick scheme of the 21st century!

so she had a lonely childhood and wanted kids to make up for that? how wacked is that? and how does that make her first 6 kids feel? like they didn't fill her void? WTF?!?!

Knowing that taxpayers are footing the bill for this "disabled" brood mare makes her, and her fertfreak litter, a whole lot less attractive than a nice litter of piglets.

At least with a litter of pigs I can make bacon, listen to far less self involved bullshit on TV from the piglets mom and the piglets mom is smarter!

Sounds to me like all the hookers at Chickenranch places, some of whom have probably flashed less cooch to strangers than this broad, need to talk to Octipussy's disability lawyer!

Oh, disability! Yup, that makes sense. Carrying octuplets sure would help an injured back, so maybe the government paid for the in vitro too. And disabled folks receive medicare and free bus passes and do not have to pay taxes.

DD, you are so right. There is so much more going on here. This is not sitting well with me.

I feel sad for the children and hope for the best. I see a hard road ahead for her special needs son, her MULTIPLE premature babies and for all the kids, just being nurtured, as individuals, in a HUGE family, in the public eye. She invited scrutiny into her home.

I have a an opinion based on informed, educated medical and ethical issues.

But it doesn't matter...you just need common sense. The comment about pet hoarding hits me hard. We have adoption home visits for animals.

My older sister taught me little and we weren't close. She heard I had two adopted cats as a young 20-something and she told me not to get a third EVERor a man would think I was, "a cat lady."

If you can't manage a litter box with two cats, don't get a third or someone is going to be unhappy and peeing all over your house, marking territory. (I know the difference between animals and children, does she? And nobody ever throw religious ideas onto this hot mess.)

lots does not make sense. Like this, she had a dysfunctional childhood, but is living back home so the dysfunction of origin has a second go round.
and, yea, lots of baby hatchers are going to abandon them as folks get tired of the novelty.

Completely agree and can see this being a well "hatched" plan.

Kate + 8 = Who?

15 minutes = Over!

Naw, there is room for Octuplet mom and Kate on TLC. I understand the Hayes and Masche reality shows are starting soon too. So, yeah, I expect the HOM boom to start any second now. And so what if one of the litter has to "take one for the team." I'm sure the one with CP will be shunted into the corner as not to offend.
gag.
