She ended up having to pack the kid all the way home because of the paps, which is ridiculous. Do you want them (points) to take your picture?" It's a crazy world, eh, Matilda?

I got myself a coffee pot beacuse I realized how much I was spending on "designer" coffee. But I realized that it's not just about the coffee - it's about getting out and having a life. Michelle is entitled to this. She does not go to the office each day so co-worker interaction does not exist. Becomming a hermit with your new coffee pot is not the answer.
The papparazzi situation really is ridiculous. But so is our fascination with celebrity. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the pictures (most often), but it has got to be difficult for some of them to live with.
I was watching a brief snippet on some show (maybe Extra, I don't remember) of Jennifer Anniston trying to get out of her vehicle, and get into the airport, I think? Anyway, the crush of photographers was totally ridiculous. It was truly difficult for her to be led through them by whomever was with her. It's got to be scary. The Matilda Ledger thing seems a little out of proportion though. Why would you carry a child that size unless the child was upset, crying, etc. Maybe afraid of the paps? I don't quite get it on this one.
With how aggressive the paps are i'd be carrying my kid for as long as i could lift them up because once i couldn't and the paps crushed in on them i'd be hauled off to jail on assault charges protecting them. I don't blame any of the celebs parents for being protective, they have very little privacy anymore with the telephoto lens and paps hidding in the bushes or paying off waiters. I love celeb gossip, always have, but i respect a persons right to normal privacy and space and think there ought to be some laws in place to deal with the over the line paps & magazines fueling their behavior.
So, I wonder how Gable and Tracy would've handled it.
Once it stops, they will be the first complaining about the lack of attention, y'know.
Michelle might do well to invest in a lanyard.
If people didn't buy into the results, there would be no need for paparazzi. Afterall, they're not out there taking photos for their health.
And yes! ;-) Matilda is really growing up... bless her heart!

I'm sure it will only get worse the older Matilda gets, simply because of her fathers legacy. I agree, though, Michele should get herself a coffee pot. One of these days, she's gonna try to carry her cup of coffee and Matilda both and end up burning the kid.
yeah i agree with first poster too, especially because its pretty obvious that michelle doesn't really go out of her way to attract attention, she seems to try hard to keep to herself. she's not a willing circus act like tom and katie cruise.
It IS about going out and having a life, but, these celebs have traded normal life for celebrity life and they're well paid. Now. do they really need Starbucks?
It's not often I disagree with you Dishy but on this I think that there is a fine line beween what you trade for celebrity and an individuals right to the pursuit of happiness. Besides, little Matilda was born into this - there was not a lot of choice there.
...and there are many celebs who do not haunt the hot spots in Hollywood, traipse themselves around in full splendor to each others parties, take their kids to pap infested arenas, go to publicized rehabs - list goes on. Jennifer A has a much higher income directly because she is in the publics eye virtually all the time (she has been on cover after mag cover recently...& along with the other soap opera stuff, she has galvanized pap fever by design). Michelle & kid will be fine before long. Heath's family will cease to be money-making for paps soon - unless they KEEP the fire stoked.

dd i have to agree. starbucks????? that shows poor taste. maybe just a bored housewife? aren't there any low key 'cool' coffee shops near where she lives where people will treat her like an 'equal'? maybe it IS a publicity stunt. maybe thats what a celebrity has to do to keep the money rolling in. maybe starbucks paid her. GOD i'm so jealous though, just imagine getting paid thousands of dollars for buying that shit. maybe that's why she hooked up with heath and then dumped him because he turned out to be no more than stoner who cared more about art than money. maybe, maybe, maybe
i mean really..... why aren't these people photographed in smith street, collingwood when visiting melbourne eating las vegan burgers? we waited all week for (organic loving) orlando to turn up (while he was in melbourne), but no show. dam!!
