Rest homes are flying their flags at half-staff all over America after word of legendary broadcaster Paul Harvey's passing. For centuries, Harvey wowed us with his segments where he would give obscure biographical facts about a well-known person, then unveil their identity with a gleeful, "And now you know...the rest of the story." Dang...it was Lew Wallace all along! Harvey was also well-known for signing off from his news reports with a jolly, "Good day." Well Paul...good day to you sir.

thanks Crabbie for the well said eulogy.
Awwww. Good day, Mr. Harvey.
What is less-known about Mr. Harvey is that he coined the terms "skyjacker", "Reaganomics" & "guesstimate".
Interesting. (kinda-sorta)
I so loved Paul Harvey. No one -- and I mean no one -- could tell a story like Paul Harvey.
Many years ago, I was the traffic reporter on a radio station in St. Louis and my 1st report each morning was right after Paul Harvey. I was probably the only one of my age group who listened to him or even knew who he was. It was like getting up each morning and listening to my father talking sense to me.
Paul Harvey was the master at pulling common sense out of even the most ridiculous situation.
