Craig Grant used $100,000 of his own money to build a sancutary for unwanted cats, Caboodle Ranch. He spends about 5 grand a month caring for them. You really need to click on THIS website to see the film. You know what, he's not hurting anyone and he's helping stray cats. If that's how he wants to spend his life, more power to him. At least his life will have had some meaning and that's a nice way to live, if you ask me. I have to wonder how the place smells though. Eeek.

Bless the beasts and the children for in this world they have no voice, they have no choice.
Bless this man for his open heart to gentle creatures.
Thanks, Dishy, for posting the story. I think he's just awesome, and his story is very touching. He's doing something I've dreamed of doing for years. He thinks sanctuaries like his Caboodle Ranch should be set up throughout the country, and I couldn't agree more.
His website is http://caboodleranch.com and he has a PayPal link for those who would like to donate a few dollars.
YW, he sounds like a sweet man. But, he has 500 cats! Mom only has 30 around here and truthfully, sometimes it stinks. I can't imagine what his place smells like.
Holy Shit, Man!
I want to go there and get my kitty fix.
He's not harming anyone and the cats did NOT ask to be here. Ignorant humans do not understand that their kitties or strays& ferals have to be fixed & vaccinated.
Sigh.... it's hard for me not to hate people, when I see how ignorant, selfish and cruel they can be.
God bless this man! he is just cleaning up the messes left by stupid, hateful people.
DD, If the litter boxes aren't cleaned daily and with 30 cats, I'm talking at least a few times a day! your mom's house wont smell.
I have four but I'm also very OCD.Ppl who aren't should only be allowed one or two cats & dogs at the most-
wow....if i get any donations with my octomom site i was gonna share some with the rescue group i got pan from, but i will send him some too!!!
absolutely amazing!! what a great person!
10:29:00, she never uses litter boxes, the ones in the house go to the door and meow. I don't know how she teaches them that, but, they do it. Ask me about my flower beds though, then I'll give ya the stink eye.
sent this to my hubbies' daughter her mom (my hubbies ex) has lots of cats.
YAY.. a fellow cat lover..This is me when I retire..I'd love to do this for cats. I adore them..now just to get my Calico to go along with the idea..she hates the other two I have and is so greedy with my time.
Bless him and his good heart..
Eliza
BTW, you guys realize the only pet I have is my sweet little rat? And she's so friendly she has no idea the cats want to eat her. I can't set her cage outside or even in a screened window to let her get some fresh air. The cats are always lurking.
I too want to have an Animal Shelter, someday. Especially for kitties. They ask so little of us but yet they are thrown out like trash, blamed for allergies and the media gives them such a bum rap, making cats out to be evil :(
About the allergy thing, the ppl who whine about cat allergies are nine times out of ten, over weight and their homes are disgusting. Also if your cat goes outside, he or she will bring in pollen, mold spores and everything else (allergens ) into your home.
What a wonderful man! I'm very inspired by him - I've got four myself & care for a colony of ferals.
What is so hard for people to understand about spaying & neutering, fer chrissakes?!?
Well 30 acre is a LOT of property! It's so cool that there are people who CARE!!!!! It is my husband's dream to have a kitty sanctuary someday.....yes indeed we CAT PEOPLE ARE CRAZY!!!!
Anyone who doesn't like cats is mentally ill.
Oh, and that allergy thing is such a scam.
There are so many people that treat animals like shit; it's definitely nice to hear about someone doing something nice for animals for once! I currently have 7 indoor cats and people don't know we have any cats until we tell them or they see them... it's not hard to scoop a litter box on a daily basis and run the vacuum every couple of days haha. I hope to have the land and money to do this one day. Thanks for posting this story - it's nice to be reminded of the nice things that people do, especially with everything going on right now in this ridiculously selfish world!
