Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized, she's unconscious and in critical condition, in LA. Ryan is with her, as is Redmond (who posted $25,000 in bond money.) Get well, Farrah.

what kind of illness is it actually, that she has!?
I believe Farrah was diagnosed with rectal cancer that metastacized (spelling?). She has been trying radical treatments in Europe, but she is now in the end stage. I don't think she will be going home again. Say what you will about her, she was the woman boys dreamed of dating and girls dreamed of being. I still remember having her poster in my room...be strong, Farrah!
I had her and Loni Anderson side by side on the wall. Linda Carter on the inside of the bathroom door and Brooke Shields (Blue Lagoon poster). Wow, when did everyone else go to shit except me?.
My prayers are with Farrah and her family. When Farrah decided to play against type and do movies like The Burning Bed, I think it reached people who would not have watched otherwise. She is a beautiful woman with a goofy and funny personality. I hope she gets better soon.
i remember david letterman accusing her of being high as a kite while a guest on his show.... she was acting spacey and seemed drugged up.(i`m not from "that 70`s era so i don`t know much about those days & what all she did... sorry to hear about her sickness & wish her well.
she's one of those people who even if you don't like any of the things she's done---tv, movies, etc you still wish her well as she seems such a nice person....like patrick swayze....they seem like regular people and you wish them well....
So sad. And even worse that Ryan and her son can't pull their screwed up worthless heads together to be with her in these last weeks. If you ever questioned how pathetic they were this ought to clear that up.
I hope she's found some peace and not in pain. My thoughts & good wishes go out to her, i've always liked her.
Farrah is no "Angel". (yeah, yeah, who is..) But why is it that every time a celebrity is deathly ill they're automatically nominated for sainthood?
An admittedly gorgeous woman with a brilliant smile, but otherwise famous for an iconic hairstyle and a swimsuit poster-- her only other "gift" to the world was a tragic, drug-addled spawn; nothing if not staggering proof that abortion should always remain legal, a total loser who never worked a day, a failed attempt at rehab for every year of his life, a menace-to-society behind the wheel and drug buddy to his firebrand father. Why wouldn't he turn out this way? He was raised with drugs on the cocktail table and wild orgies in the pool. And all of Hollywood knows Farrah's litany of severe personal and legal problems... which are sure to be made common knowledge after her death.
Point is, there are truly righteous people in the world who die every day of the week --and are an actual LOSS to this world-- and yet people are keeping Farrah Fawcett "in their prayers"?? lol whatever...
"Farrah is no angel...." Nobody is trying to make anyone into a Saint, but the reality is a human being with family & kids may be close to death & it's sad no matter who it is. This human will pass on & never hug her family again, never be in the sun, no more Christmas, birthdays, nothing. Gone. That is what's sad. not because of who she is, but that there are people out there that love & will miss her.So would it be all that hard to let what happens happen & you could leave your two cents out of it?
"Farrah's no angel...." You're a real ass. I don't care if ALL her kids are in jail, there mother is still dying you prick! I wish you could get a taste of your own medicine. If someone is in jail that doesn't take 1 bit of the hurt away when your mother is dying. Who you've slept with, what drugs you've done, how often you & your mother argue, words you've said in anger to one another are of no emotionally value when you're at the point of a loved one dying. That's when every mean thing ever said or mean thing ever done is cleared from the slate. If you like or dislike Redmond, Ryan O'Neal or any other family member keep it to yourself because you sound like an insensitive ass. Karma's a bitch my fried & trust me it ALWAYS comes back around.
I don't know what it is, but something about the death or impending death of someone who in some way touched your life, is always sad. It doesn't matter that they are not perfect, or have major flaws, or that you didn't really know them. It is sad all the same. Day before yesterday, the beloved husband of an old friend died. He was only in his 40's, out riding his Harley with friends, and they suddenly realized he wasn't on the road with them anymore. They went back to find him, and he was already gone. I had met him and talked with him many times, but didn't really know him well. We are in mourning, all the same.

PS -- I had her haircut down to a science.

Maybe you meant self righteous? Yeah, I think you did.
