Thats the same show I saw last summer, but Cheap Trick was with them too.....Heart wasnt even the headliner, it was Journey, but Heart blew them both away....
FYI, Nancy Wilson of Heart (blonde) is married to Cameron Crowe, the director of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire. They have been marreid 23 years and have 2 twin boys born in 2000. Wow, never knew that...sounds like she is very grounded and how bitchin would it be to have her as your mom?? no need for guitar hero in that family!

Poor Ann, she is awesome!! I guess in the 80's the record company really got on her ass about her weight gain fearing it would hurt the band, she even started having panic attacks about it. She ended up have that gastric bypass surgery but it looks like now it didn't help. She rocks though, i could careless is she is overweight.
sorry, I love Journey! That Arnel is a damn good singer plus the american dream happened to him. I'm happy the dude found fame and now can get his family out of poverty in the Phillipines. i've seen him interviewed and he seems very humble and in awe of all that has happened to him.
Heart performed one of the best concerts I ever had the pleasure of going to. Watching that little blond just kick that big ol' guitars ASS was epic! The voices, the lyrics, the riffs...all woven into the fabric of my young life. Glad they're still doing what they love!
Yeah, yeah.. I took my daughter last year to see them, it was her first concert. We went to Louisiana to some lame casino, the show was great!! My daughter, 10 at the time, couldn't handle the noise. And I didn't bring her any ear protection, so we ended up watching the second half of the show through a glass door. Pretty cool for a first concert! There were a ton of walkers and wheelchairs, I guess that goes with the shady casino vibe? OLD PEOPLE ROCK! And yeah Ann is HUGE, Nancy looks the same as she did when she was 17.Ann had on velvet - head to toe and was sweating like my fat neighbor when he does yard work.
I seem to remember a couple of MTV videos back in the day when they would only show Ann's face in shadow, nothing else. Cuz she was too fat for rock and roll, they figured. Well fuck them, those Canadian girls can still rock with the best of them and no one has a voice like Ann Wilson. No one.
Think how much good would have come from showing more of Ann. I guess we needed Susan Boyle to teach the idiots that looks have nothing to do with talent.
Stop hatin' on Journey!!! Steve Perry kicks ass. But he didn't get along with the guys when they asked him back. So, onward they go. 80's songs that will last forever, or at least till my generation is dead. My son loves Journey tho, met them & hung out after a show one night. Steve Ojeri was the singer then. He kicks ass with a fro! Sounds just like SP. Heart is amazing. Kinda like Carny Wilson, some gals just are not skinny, never will be. They are great tho.
She might be a fatty with a red plastic cup of peanut M&M's, but she's got more confidence that most people. She's really very comfortable in her skin. I say keep on keepin' on!!

But who really wants to be fat? I mean today I bought myself a bottle of Dexatrim Max so I can lose 10 pounds, shooting for 15. It's a disease I swear. It's a fucking commercial disease, created by the people that want us to buy their diet aids. & it works. Damn!!! :( Hollywood is not immune, they are the carriers!!
I SOOO love them! Ive always felt bad for Ann because of the way her record company & society handled her gaining weight, until I saw a recent interview with them & saw she doesn't feel sorry for herself at all. She said if she loses weight that'd be great, but if not then she doesn't. It no longer runs her life. That's why they still ROCK! Love them! Any "fat girl" comments that have been made or Rosie O'Donnell comments or Chi Chi LaRue comments are tacky. Being overweight isn't healthy so I completely agree with that, but letting that take complete control over your life is just as unhealthy. Oprah's weight going up & down all the time is just as hard on a heart as constantly being overweight. Lindsey Lohan & Paris Hilton are so thin that they are in the same boat as someone overweight. IMO
I do have to say this though. If I was Ann & had to get on stage with Nancy Id have to hire someone to force feed her lard until we looked a little more balanced on stage! LOL
