Sam is able to deal because she had to work a real job with lots of competition which she had to compete against. She is more mature and can grasp the concept of a broken relationship with an addict or a person in denial.
I know everyone hates her but I feel sorry for Lindsay. She's only a year older than my children and I keep thinking what pathetic upbringing she had. Her behaviour shows she never felt anyone loved her. She seems really lost and that's sad, not despicable.
The Ronsons are disgusting, whatever is true about Lohan.
Lindsay seems a little desperate for someone who wouldnt even come clean about her lesbo relationship in the first place! There are lots of hardup men out there that would still fuck her. She should place an ad on E-harmony or whatever the hell that matchmaking site is.

I agree her parents share a huge part of the blame, but this bitch is grown-up already. She steals from friends, lies about her drug use and alcohol consumption while trying to make us believe she's clean and misunderstood.
