Brainfart

I believe New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd when she says her apparent plagiarism of part of a post from the blog Talking Points Memo was unintentional, the result of her failure to attribute something she heard from one of her friends. Dowd is sharp as a whip and clever as shit and doesn't need to rip anyone off for her material. It was just a brainfart. Like when Mike Barnicle stole some bits from George Carlin that he had heard second-hand, not realizing they were Carlin's bits. When you write thousands and thousands of words a year, and have lots of people always telling you stuff, that sort of thing is going to happen. But, of course, because Dowd writes a political column, she is going to get lots of payback trashings, especially from people who resent the way she eviscerated George W. for 8 years. Let them. The fuckers will never have half her wit or insight, and they know it, and that's why they hate her so much.

Fuck this bitch and 100 just like her. I'd take George Bush back in a heartbeat (along with every bit of his baggage) rather than be forced to contend with the insane antics of Obama.

Consider this: H.R. 1388 was passed back on January 27th-- behind our backs. I'd be willing to bet you didn't know.

You may want to read about it. It wasn't mentioned on the news... just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.

Obama funded $20M in taxpayer dollars to immigrate HAMAS Refugees to the USA. This is the news that never made the headlines. By executive order, President Barack Obama ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza.

The "presidential determination," which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States, was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.

Few on Capitol Hill -or in the media- took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.

These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.

Jeez do you ever check anything before you post or just blindly post any email rumor shit that falls into your hands? The memorandum has nothing to do with refugees in the US - it pays for refugee assistance IN GAZA - not here. As far as passing it behind our backs, my paper certainly publishes what bills Congress is voting on and the bill was signed in a very public ceremony. If you don't want to be informed that's fine, but don't go around spreading lies and rumors.

What the hell does that rant have to do with plagiarism by Dowd? Dude take take that somewhere else.

Dowd's paragraph was taken word for word and comma for comma from TPM. If she had "heard it from a friend" as she claims, it would have been paraphrased. This was clearly ripped off.

As for the anonymous Bush Ball-Licker....you are very sadly and gravely misinformed. Get your head out of Drudge's ass.

This woman commited plagiarism; plain and simple. How can she "remember" something word for word when the text is over 100 words long. The only difference is 2 words. New York Times is junk bond stock and looking for a buyer. Commited partisans never get anywhere, especially blatant bashers like the NYT.
