Shortly after this picture was taken, Jessica clapped her little hands and excitedly begged Keri to read her Dora again. She said please, though. That's using your good words.
Actually, I started reading to my son when he was only a few days old. Our first book was The Hobbit. I know, interesting choice, but babies don't understand the words, anyway, and the important thing for him was the sound of my voice. He was in the crook of my arm, as we lay snuggled together on the couch. He was so quietly alert, just watching my face, and listening to my voice. That's a really lovely memory for me, and I've told him about it many times.

I always try to say nice things about babies and kiddies, but what is wrong with that baby's face. He looks retarded. Missing a chomo or two.
