(mom didn't know, LOL) Name change: I love my daughter's name, Julia, but I'll stick with my boring one
DD, I love that your favorite color is orange, for some reason I find that people who like orange are just great people. My sister-in-law likes orange so you are in extremely good company. Also, after having my now 10-month-old I realize that feeling like you've fallen short as a mother is part of the job description. Wish they'd given more warnings about that-it's really excrutiating at times. Your son basically crossed through dimensions to come see you, so I can't believe that you did that bad of a job.
Color-Blue (dark blue or midnight blue) Regret-I really do try not to hang on to regrets as much as possible but I find myself thinking about times where I should have said more or done more, instead of letting resentments build up or letting friendships drift apart. Song-GAWD, that is hard!!! I am a big music lover (would anyone say they weren't??)and my favorite song would really depend on my mood at that moment. Anything by the Beatles. The song that popped into my head at this moment is Try a Little Tenderness by Otis Redding. Name-I have always thought my name suited me. I haven't wanted to change it in years-since I was a little kid playing make believe. Back then I wanted it to be something like Elizabeth or Gabrielle.

I could say I regret I didn't get my chef's credentials when I was younger, but I still plan to do that. 3. Favourite song...wow difficult. "Mushaboom" by Feist 4. Do you like the name your parents chose for you? I'm ambivalent about my name. 5. If you changed your name, what would it be? I want my maiden name back.

Oh my Gosh Kerri, My grandmother chose my name nothing against my mom or anything but she loved the name Connie who was a ex girlfriend of my father she had died as a teenager she and a few other highschool kids who had been on a rr track and hit by a train on the way back from a game in or near Boron California...Im beginning to think my grandmother was a bit demented hmmmm.
Connie, that is wild, but at least it was supposed to mean something. A reminder of someone whose life that was taken early. My name was taken from a cheerleader that my daddy use to bang in highschool. My mom saw her name on the back of her cheerleading jacket and liked it, told my dad and he agreed. That's the 70's for ya...well no, just my daddy. :)

if we're discussing astrology too....i'm leo rising with 5 planets in aries...so i'm like a super aries or something....and besides that 5 planet thing going on, the remaining planets form a 'gods eye' and according to several astrologers that is sort of rare and to have the 5 planet thing and that combined is even rarer...so i've been 'odd' since birth! :P
favorite color - forest green (although now that I have a daughter I'm starting to get into pink, which I never thought would happen - soft pink though, not "Barbie pink")
biggest regret - not asking questions/trying new things b/c of being afraid of looking foolish/stupid
song - I can't pick just one! OK, right now it's probably Wilco "I Must Be High"
name - always disliked it as a child b/c it's a long, tongue-twisting attention-getter of a name for an intensely shy little girl who didn't want anyone to notice her. Also, any way you shorten it (Bern, Bernie) sounds ugly. I'm ok with it now, I guess.
I've never thought about what I would change it to - isn't that strange?
1. What's your favorite color? Green 2. What's your biggest regret? Not always being there for my best friend 3. What's your favorite song (pick ONE)? Don't Stop Me Now- Queen 4. Do you like the name your parents chose for you? Yea, I like it. My middle name is Grace and last name starts with a B so my aunt purposedly picked a K name so my initials would be KGB. It's just annoying that no one pronounces it right. 5. If you changed your name, what would it be? I wouldn't change it though quite a few of my friends call me Shali.
2. What's your biggest regret? I either have too many or none

4. Do you like the name your parents chose for you? I have a love/hate relationship with it.
5. If you changed your name, what would it be? I have no clue. Maybe my middle name, Michelle. Although I do love the name Kristen. hm.
Aw, we have 2 Corina's too! Our spelling seems so rare, doesn't it? I always got "have you seen the movie Corina Corina?" and then all the old ladies in the grocery store would start singing it whenever i told them my name. Also - the pronunciation - I always get Cor-IN-a, or Katrina. Never Cor-ee-na. But whatevs. I'm named after my great grandma Cora and great Aunt Coreen.
Oh, and I LOVE the song "sorry" by buckcherry. I change my answer, lol!
Biggest Regret - sooooo many occassions where it would have been prudent to shut my mouth, but I couldn't
Fav song - Feel My Love by Adele, makes the hair on my neck stand up
My name - it's okay, but always wished I'd have gone with Kate as an adult, instead of Kathy...oh, wait.....Mrs. Gosselin ruined that, I'll go with Kathy
If I could change my name - ummmm...nah, guess not
Fav color: white Biggest regret: not having allowed someone to run away with me because I chickened out Fav song: I don't want to miss a thing - Aerosmith Name: Nadine is ok... family calls me Nads Name I'd choose: Isabelle (my middle name) or Katiuska or Katrinka...

1. Pink (which makes me seem childish) or yellow (which makes me seem crazy) 2. Not breaking up with the asshole earlier. 3. Kissing You by Desree 4. My dad picked my name. And otherwise I'd have been named April so unlike you Pat, I'm a big fan of my Patricia name! It's my middle name I always found blah. 5. When I was young I wanted a "fancier" name like Danielle. Now, I'd settle just for something shorter if I had the choice.
Delurking to do this, because it really made me think about how hard it can be to answer simple questions.
Color - purple Regrets- I have a few, most recent not retiring on a high note
Song - Mandy Patinkin singing You Have to be Carefully Taught/Children will Listen The first is by Oscar Hammerstein, the second by Stephen Sondheim. Mandy sings them together, moving from the first to the second. The message is so true.
Name - I hate my real name, Maureen, it is just not me. I like my nickname, but it is too young for an old broad.
And yet, I can't come up with something I would change it to. I just know I would like a name that fits me.
Yes! Corina 2.0, (you look younger than I ) Coreena is the proper pronunciation! I always get Corrinne too. I am old enough to have been named for the song, and my great grandma was Cora also. Oddly enough, one of my son's friends is a Marine, and was stationed in Romania. There, he met his fiancee, and her name is Corina also!

Oh my Gosh Kerri,
My grandmother chose my name nothing against my mom or anything but she loved the name Connie who was a ex girlfriend of my father she had died as a teenager she and a few other highschool kids who had been on a rr track and hit by a train on the way back from a game in or near Boron California...Im beginning to think my grandmother was a bit demented hmmmm.
Connie
Connie, that is wild, but at least it was supposed to mean something. A reminder of someone whose life that was taken early. My name was taken from a cheerleader that my daddy use to bang in highschool. My mom saw her name on the back of her cheerleading jacket and liked it, told my dad and he agreed. That's the 70's for ya...well no, just my daddy. :)

PS, Taurus on the cusp .... 22 april
if we're discussing astrology too....i'm leo rising with 5 planets in aries...so i'm like a super aries or something....and besides that 5 planet thing going on, the remaining planets form a 'gods eye' and according to several astrologers that is sort of rare and to have the 5 planet thing and that combined is even rarer...so i've been 'odd' since birth! :P
favorite color - forest green (although now that I have a daughter I'm starting to get into pink, which I never thought would happen - soft pink though, not "Barbie pink")
biggest regret - not asking questions/trying new things b/c of being afraid of looking foolish/stupid
song - I can't pick just one!

Favorite Song: Landslide sung by Stevie Nicks
My Name: I hated it when I was younger but I have grown to appreciate it.

Regret-never went to college only got to experience the school of hard knocks
Song-anything by Patsy Cline
Name-Debbie doesn't work so well when I'm this old but the alternative would be Deborah and that just too prissy...so, call me anything but late for dinner

Delurking to do this, because it really made me think about how hard it can be to answer simple questions.

Regrets- I have a few, most recent not retiring on a high note
Song - Mandy Patinkin singing You Have to be Carefully Taught/Children will Listen
The first is by Oscar Hammerstein, the second by Stephen Sondheim. Mandy sings them together, moving from the first to the second. The message is so true.
Name - I hate my real name, Maureen, it is just not me. I like my nickname, but it is too young for an old broad.
And yet, I can't come up with something I would change it to. I just know I would like a name that fits me.
Patricia is a nice name. My mother didn't name me that, but, people assume she did and I let them.
That's a hard job emotionally, Bill. I couldn't hack it. You must be strong inside.
