Lissa's here. I guess they went to Omaha yesterday and didn't get back until late, so she's staying with me tonight. She got a new short haircut and it's adorable. Mom just gave her red nail polish to play with (no common sense) and she has a new outfit on and new white shoes. So, I had to take it away. She's really mad and told me off something terrible. Which I can understand, because it seems unfair. So we compromised, she can have it back tonight when she gets into her yard sale jammies and if she stays on the throw rug with it. She pointed to that shirt and said it means she goes to Angel Uv-nee-vers-tity. I said I remain skeptical.

True Blood was awesome, I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. It's vampires for grown up smart people.

True Blood series 1 episode 1 aired on Friday for the first time here & I love it so far, except.....Sookies irritating accent. Not sure what it is about her but she just annoys me.
Lissa looks adorable as usual, just the right balance of sweet kid with a devil twinkle in here eye, enough to keep you on your toes at least. Good luck with the nail varnish. lol
Love her new 'do. She is a cutie. Hope DIL doesn't keep her away too much. I know I crave visits from my grandson when I haven't seen him after a few days.
Are you busier in the Summer as oppposed to winter or have people just passed the word about you and that's why you're so busy?
Lissa looks good with her hair cut like that!
She is adorable!
True Blood is the best! It is the only reason I keep HBO since The Sopranos ended.
I like her new hair too. Such a little sweetie.
Love the new haircut on Lis. It is bouncin and behavin now.
My youngest wants me to buy the first series set of True blood. I think I will get it and put it away for Christmas.
We do not have movie channels. Too expensive. We just enjoy when they give us weekend freebies every once in awhile.
She is a cutie! I love the perspective that you caught with that shot. You caught her personality there :-)
I'll try to give True Blood another chance. I attempted to watch the pilot episode and it was painfully dumb. I had to turn it off when the vampire was at the convenient store and his fangs shot down like a switch blade.
p.s. Lissa looks adorable! She's so mature for her age, the convo's she has with you kill me.

Love the hair. Gosh, she looks so smart.
I love how you communicate with her. Some people would just take the polish away and not give any options or even discuss. I think children need to practice their reasoning skills and not have them stifled. Love the haircut too :)
The haircut is perfect for her lil impish face.... she looks so so so cute.
How did she fare with the nailpolish, are her toes completely red or only the nails hahaha
What a little cutie pie. :D
Such a sweetie pie :) Lis is adorable.
I have never seen the true blood series, although everyone is talking about it. I will have to check it out some time.
The hair is too cute!
Miss Elise (just) decided she had to have her hair cut off... again. She went with her Dad on Saturday, for his scheduled appointment, in hopes that someone would have time to cater to her whim. Of course, they did. (Cuteness always wins out)
At least now I have less "pool" hair to deal with.
Lissa looks cute with the haircut! I noticed it right off before I even read the post. She is a very pretty girl, she seems to look a bit more grown up here. She really has her own mind! She gets that from you! Anyway, great pics of her. I love seeing her. She is changing a little. *blah*...Monday! But glad to see you are here. Have a great week.

J/W...why isnt Crabbie linked here anymore? Or is that a personal question?
DD- I'm telling you what, Lissa & my 9 year old girl would have so much fun together! I'd LOVE to put up pics of my kids, but I'm not sure if that would be smart, due to my numerous "fans" that would have no qualms about calling them names or any other horrible unimaginable comments.
Nissa- This is only a honest to goodness,no sarcasm intended comment. Is your 4 year old's real name Rainmain? If so what's the story behind it? This is not a poke or jab.
10doll,
I know what you mean, I wouldn't do that either..the fans are so ignorant, they wouldn't mind making fun of a child. They do not have the heart that you do.
Ohhhhhhh. I had to follow that profile to get the Rainman comment. Okay.
DD;
The only thing more adorable than that little girl is the way you interact with her. I love when you post little snippets of your conversations.
She's a good kid, but, you have to compromise with her.She doesn't react to athority well. Last night we worked on alternatives to profanity. It was funny.
Rainman? For real?
Poor kid just never had a chance. I can only imagine all the teasing at school.
And any girl would just love to have a boyfriend with the name Rainman. "Parents and friends, this is my boyfriend Rainman!" Oh man...
On the other note, Dustin Hoffman was briliant in that movie!
Okay, come on. Maybe the kid just like math or something. I call my brother rainman. Wait, that's not a good example.
3:05 DD- The only alternative for me to stop using profanity would be death. I try to curb the language, but not had a lot of luck.
5:30 DD- I'm totally with you on that, but I was honestly only wanting to know if his real name was Rainmain. No harm or bashing was intended, only curiosity.
