I was watching the Twilight Zone channel the other night and it was that episode with the murdeous doll named Talking Tina. Telly Savalas starred in it. I wasn't in the TZ chat room, but, I could read it. Someone said Telly is Jennifer Aniston's god father and they started arguing because someone else claimed he's her real bio father and she looks like him and it's all a big cover up. I looked it up and Telly IS her god father and there are some juicy old paternity rumors there.*
Anyway, I instantly recognized the doll who played Talking Tina, because she sits right here on my desk. Her real name is Tobykins and there is nothing spooky about her. She's very sweet. Tobykins was a copy of the popular Brickette doll and the makers of Brickette sued Tobykins and won. So Tobykins was only produced for one year (1959 to 1960 I believe) and that makes them rare. I think she's cute.

Dolls creep me out. I never was a doll kind of girl. Dolls and baby dolls. They creep me out.
Gowd, you'd hate my loft then. I have boxes and boxes of them up there. All OLD.
I remember that Twilight Zone episode. When I was in middle school we had a nanny and she and I were both watching it in different rooms. At the end of the show,I heard a scratching on my bedroom door. Of course when I opened it one of my little sister's dolls was standing there staring at me. I am still scarred from that! She looks much nicer in your pic though!
EEEEK!! It's ok, your good energy would be more than enough to balance the creep factor. Clowns also creep me out. And I really have not had any traumatic experiences with dolls and clowns, they are just creepy.
I HATE CLOWNS!!!!!!!!!!
That doll looks like the offspring of "Chucky".
clowns are evil personified....
that doll looks very nice!
Chucky is misunderstood. LMAO!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks clowns are evil creepy.
Nah...she's pretty creepy. I totally see why they chose her for it. Obvioulsy, someone thot of her when the story came about OR the story was inspired by the doll. Either way, dolls are always pretty mean & murderous and insane or make you insane. How about that crazy mini-movie episode of Trilogy Of Terror w/Karen Black? That crazy doll murdered her! I will never forget that , it was insane. That said I have my Mrs. Beasley from what, 1968, my bro cut her open & removed her voice box when I was a kid. Doesnt that tell you anything? LOL...BTW...I almost killed him for that! I fixed her up. Her surgery scars are not visible with her little apron on :(. I keep her in a drawer, she scares my kids. They are 23 & 25. LOL
I have Mrs. Beasley too!
Roxanne, your story was hilarious.
I remember the Mrs. Beasley dolls. I remember that movie too, with the little evil doll chasing her all around the apartment. Do I have the right movie? It scared me for years.
(I also hate clowns!!)
I'm a little too young to know what or who this doll is, but I do agree that she resembles Chuckie.
You're awesome DD!
hey iwhinewhinewhine come on out from hiding behind the computer! i'll fucking kick your ass you stupid delusional cunt!
OMFG! WTH is going on here? This is the 1st I have seen of the toxic comments here. Iwahyala WTH...needs to go away. Forever.
Dear Cut,
YES! Holy crap> Remember it chasing her with the f'g spear screaming "I-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi!!! All over her apt, she was stabbed & bleeding and unable to walk then it just finished her off. It didnt die tho. Is it still in that apt? I was scared for a while after seeing that. I couldnt stop watching tho. It is funny too, if you think about it. Rod Serling was a genious. Didnt he have something to do with those shows?
My son hates clowns too. He says that there is something creepy about a permanant smile on someones face, no one is ever that happy. Pretty smart 13 year old.
PS: We still say "I-yi-yi-yi-yi" when we want to creep each other out! STOP IT!!! haha
And you had to get your feet up off the floor. That crazy guy was probably under your couch? Right??? I know!
The doll that creeped me out was my sister's Thumbelina doll. It moved like a dying baby and I hated it. I loved the Little Kiddles dolls with the carrying case necklaces, though.
1:08 DD- Chucky misunderstood? If you think so,then that's what we'll roll with.
~evil smile~
My son was about 5 and I bought him a "My Buddy" Doll for Christmas. Everything is wonderful blah blah blah My buddy my buddy my buddy and me...UNTIL bless her heart my grandmother was flipping through the channels and came across a movie she thought was age appropriate for a 5 yr old the movie title Child's play Ohhh looky there Josh says my grandma that there doll looks like your my buddy doll, as my grandmother is trying to figure out why this doll is carrying a knife around kind of the train wreck syndrome you can't turn away until its all figured out my son is being traumatized...The doll was then named Chucky and given to my sisters daughter who was 4...a year later the now 5 yr old was watching Child's play with her 3 1/2 yr old sister who noticed the resemblance and was chasing the older one around the house saying in a denomic voice "CHUCKY GONNA GET YOU"..the 3 1/2 yr old inherited the doll and tormented her cousin and sister for a good 6 years with it.
True story

1:37 iwhyawli- Bitch, you need to get you & your fat ass back to GWOPWOP! If you haven't done anything wrong, then don't concern yourself with what she can do with a mouse.(i don't think it will be the same thing you do with your gerbil, with a little back door action).DD & nobody else on here, has ever tried to intimidate anyone. You all have been threatening to get people in trouble & to help get other sites shut down,so I think you all are the ones that try to intimidate people. As for DD being a sad old whore...she's no where close to that, but if she was I'd back her up,no questions asked & I wouldn't even acknowledge your stupid ass,if you fell in front of me. I'd wipe my shoes on you & move on. You better hurry back to your site,so you can catch up with your herd!
LOL Connie, that will make great memories for them.
10 Doll, I think everyone now knows what you and I know. That cunt deserves what she's going to get. She's sealed her own fate.
That cunt deserves what she's going to get. She's sealed her own fate.
Ooohh...what's she going to get DD? Don't tease us - tell us what's going to happen to the stupid bitch :)
TOTALLY creeped out by the dolls.
I won't be visiting anytime soon, DD.
Remember the Thumbelina song?
"When her heart is full of love she's 10 feet tall!"
This freaked me out and made me get rid of my ballerina doll because I thought if I loved her she would grow.
Never watched Chuckie. Never will. FREAKS ME OUT!
If you look at comment on Perez Hilton (usually Gosselin stories), there is a poster named:
ClownsFreakMeOut.
Guess who that might be?????
:D
Connie, that's a great story.
Chrissy!!! OMG! Lucky Locket Kiddles! I had one. It was so big. I loved that thing. I wore it to school and played with it so much during class that I got in trouble. I will sometimes remember that and it makes me feel really old, but I loved it.
Rox
wow...iwannadie really reads your posts and in depth! Bravo! Seems it can read indeed. This idiot does nor phaze me at all. Ignore. It will dry up & die. She does seem to be entertained by your posts and may even enjoy them. But, she does not deserve to be here and she needs banished to the "other realm". So be it. So it is written, so let it be done.
Roxanne
Connie! I am busting a gut here at my desk at work. I am really laughing my ass of and loudly! I loved that story. LOOOVED it! Kids are so funny. Your g'ma was killing me there with that movie. OMG! She really needs to keep up. That was priceless. I will laugh about that forever. thx.
Rox
Gosh I am glad I'm not the only one who thinks dolls are ALSO creepy. The only doll I like is 10doll. :)
We need a stronger mosquito repellent around here. Those fuckers are buzzing and being annoying.
Roxanne, I am still traumatized by that freakin' movie. And now tonight, I'll make sure my closet door is closed ALL the way, not that 1 inch open bullshit where they can LOOK at me, and I'll definately not be hanging my feet out of the covers!!! (DAMmit11)
DD; What ever happens to iwhyawli, happens. He/she/it deserves it, and there'll be no tears shed on my part. I hope you fuck 'em up good, DD.
IWHY, I really wouldn't want to be you now. Are you stupid or something?
Dear Cut,
HaHaHa!!! Yeah, watch those toes. And be sure to check for tiny little stab wounds on your feet when you get up. I think I will do the same. Sh**..I was joking with you and now I went got myself all freaked out. I am gonna have to make sure all my doors & closets are shut all the way too and my feet aint coming out of the covers either! Nope! Have a good nights rest! LOL
Rox
Another clown hater! Dolls are cool. I used to like the troll dolls, had a little house for them, and all. LOVE Barbie, had about 65 of them, until someone broke into my storage unit and stole them and many other things that were very precious to me.
I like dolls. For gosh sakes I build dollhouses as a hobby..LOL
WTF did I miss today? Dammit! And Pat used the C word too??
I got your back too Pat.
I'd have fucked Chucky up! Let's get some perspective on this..The average adult woman is 5'8 & Chucky's 2 ft. tall,so when you see the little demon running at you, stomp him & then partake in the kicking of his little plastic ass! Arms off, legs off, head off, tear his shit up! Chucky's not real menacing when his heads in a wood chipper! And women when you're being chased by a 2 ft demon, remember the furniture placement in the home you've been in for 10 years & stop tripping over everything! He may be demonic, but when I'm pms'ing I can kick anyones ass!
Meissa2112- Thanks for your liking of the 10doll. The feeling is mutual!
WTF is babyzmama.....
I HATE clowns also... they totally freak me out, I don't find them funny and would NEVER think of hiring one for a childs b-day party....
As for dolls, well I'm not much of a doll person either, I think Barbie looks a bit like a hooker. I do love stuffed animals tho... except of "Kitty"... that cat I cannot stand.
Hey Pat if you need help kicking someones ass.... I'm willing hahaha....
2:35 Connie- That was such a funny story! Loved it!!!
Are any of you familiar with the Baby Alive Doll, that was huge at Christmas in 2007? She drinks, eats, poops, pees, cry's,laughs pouts everything. That doll scares the crap outta me! She's got a big water head & her eyes are awful. I made that doll sleep in the hamper for a while, cause she freaked me out! 8 or so years ago,my cousins little girl got a Furbee & forgot it when she went home. My grandma had to call my uncle at 4am to come figure out how to get the batteries out, because he wouldn't shut off. "Oooo Furbee scared of dark. Furbee want light on. Furbee scared."! Scared the crap outta her!
10doll - I don't know if it's the same doll, but I remember one that peed and pooped and cried in the late 90's. Or the real babies. Nasty. Ick. Dolls and real baby dolls are creepy.
Long time lurker here. Love this blog! I have always loved that episode of "Twilight Zone". The movie "Trilogy of Terror} scared the crap out of ma and I agree about pulling your feet up on to the furniture quickly. My daughter hhas a doll from when she was young called a Jammie Pie. These damn dolls go for over $300.00 on e-bay. Of course she will not give hers up!
My childhood dolls are "Little Miss No Name" and "Poor Pitiful Pearl". Anyone familiar with these dolls? Little Miss is not pretty and most people find her creepy.
Pat, I am so sorry for all you have had to put up with from the wackos. They are evil. Reading this blog is sort of like therapy for me. My childhood was not good, family is messed up and it is helpful to read things I can relate to. And Lissa is a doll!
Thanks for all you share!
I'm always looking for the strange ones, like those. Uh hu, they were super weird. Little Miss No Name is a freaky doll. Pearl is sweet but, little girls didn't want her and you know why. LOL! Do you remember Blythe?
