The pumpkins have made a really ugly area of the yard pretty and now I don't have to deal with that mess until it freezes. They've completely covered the huge compost pile and are a good 8 foot up that burn pile. Beautiful big plants. Won't it be pretty to see orange pumpkins resting in those dead branches? I think so. So much for pumpkins not growin' in the shade, hu? Ha.

The photos are deceptive. It's a VERY large area and a very large pile of crap. I love my pumpkins.

the GREAT PUMPKIN ! I have fond memories
of pumpkins as I associate them with the
changing of the season up here in Canada

Watch out for white flies on the pumpkins, Pat. I told you before, I think, had a pumpkin seed that my little one planted in a dixie cup, planted it in the garden and when we came home from vacation it had taken everything over and killed some plants. I used to let my daughter measure, with a ruler, how much it had grown each day. It's like kudsu!!!

Ttyt DD I have to go to work now I'm on
the graveyard shift. I'm a sahm during the day
and go to work at night so if you dum gosselins
are reading these posts that's how you do it
parents make sacrafices to raise their children
and be home with them. You do whatever it
takes to put them first. You don't sell their
childhood to a lame television network !!!

and also the most gorgeous trees are
females as a women gets older she
reveals her true beauty as the trees do
they show off their true beauty of natural
colours and they do it just before the leaves
drop off and die the same with a woman of
intergrity such as our beautiful host DD :)
she lives well and full and with each passing
of the milestones in her life she emulates
from her beauty within her and releases it
to the world positively and truely as the trees
release their sweet sugars in the leaves
superceeding the chrophyll routine green and
just before they leave us with all their beauty!
& put on a show for all to feel how alive and
wonderful it is to just be who we are. It's the
only me I will ever be and I love her =D Kiki

it's all beautiful and sweet and it's the only
life I have to share and live and love and give.
The ONLY thing I have growing in the back are pumpkins! They were doing very well until ants began herding aphids and now the leaves and buds are covered! I tried spraying them off, but didnt work...then I read to try oil, that it will smother the aphids....well, the oil also cooked the leaves under the sun....I'm so sad!
