Getting there

Yeah, I know, I keep looking at it and taking it's picture and I seem picky about it, but, I really had an image in my head when I started this bed, and it's surprised me by being almost perfect...but, not quite. I'm still waiting for the Four O Clocks and Cosmos and some others. And that damn hole in the fence has to fill in to provide the backdrop. I like watching it develop. I bought it a couple more solar lights today and I cleaned out the bird bath. I know I'm ridicuous, you don't have to tell me. But, in two to three weeks, it should match the picture I had in my head when I was out there cleaning up broken glass and junk. There are some nice dark places in the yard. I think a yard needs dark places.

Come on over. Give it a month, then it will be perfect. You know it's an old foundation from a shed I tore down?

Fairies! Sheesh, Anon!! Just what I was going to say... I have this image of dusk and the fairies coming out to play 'ring around the rosy' in their gorgeous, new garden!

It really is incredible, Pat.. and I well-remember the "before" photos. You've really got the gift.

Wow! That is so pretty. I love lights in the garden. I have little dinky solar lights in the pond and they are so cool. I just worry about my fish being able to sleep. dumb, huh?!

LOL coffee. That's cute.

I kind of believe in fairies. Not the story book kind, but, the elemental kind. And the spooky kind they have in Ireland.

I do believe in elementals. I'm sure there's lots where you are. I have a friend who is an Elf herself. My dance teacher has seen faeries in her back yard garden, when she takes care of her plants (she is trained in Eastern Medicine) she sees them through the corner of her eyes. I will take photos of her garden next time I go to her place to show it to you.

I love the way you are caring for your garden. I suck with plants, I don't have a lot of patience. Maybe when I'm older I'll have a garden beautiful like yours...but I'm happy in the woods for now, it's non-mainteinance.

Yep. I am going to post a before and after when the garden hits it's peak. I honestly don't work that hard on it. I plant close and crowd the plants..that's the secret. Weeds don'thave a chance to establish.
