Huu?

I had someone comment on here that they have a friend who's an elf. I just puzzled and puzzled that. Please explain that to me and let's discuss it.

I know, it's weird, but, I have an open mind. I think they were serious.

It was me who posted that :) It took me a little while to respond because I was translating a very nice letter I got from my dad re: leprechauns (will post it in a bit).

But before I share his letter with you, this is what I think and know, and I know I am not one of them. Re: people who "are" elementals, mostly compares some personality and physical traits to them.

Why is my friend an Elf? Because of her particular attitude towards nature, specially the forests. It hurts her to the point of tears when she sees a tree down. She has a special gift and communicates with animals and plants at a level very different than most people. Yes, she's vegetarian. Now, she's not a crazy "tree hugging hippy", nor is she trying to make you believe in what she believes, no. I consider that gift her "magic". I call her "my magic Elf". It's genuine and from the heart. Her looks. She may not have the pointy ears, but, I tell you, you see her and it screams "elemental Elf".

Someone told me I'm a Mermaid. I honestly don't think I fit into any of the Elementals (not even a Dabbler). So that's my humble explanation, I am not very knowledgeable on this subject, I just believe because my heart tells me it's what I need to do :)

My dad's letter (pt 1)

Elisita:

I want to share this story with you, for days now I have been thinking of the Elementals of the Earth, its wide variety which travels from one
side of the rainbow to the other, from Faeries to the very small Gnomes, as well as the Elves and the ones a little bigger known as the Leprechauns,
who often ask Humans for objects for their personal use in exchange of magic charms and whatever weird device capable of changing the course of destiny.
Legend says these little men, some beautiful in their own right, and others, dark with curved back and grim sight, with skin wrinkled with centuries gone by
are expert shoemakers. What's really strange is that they repair or make one single shoe for the Elves, there's a different Leprechaun group with a strange
name that escapes me now, they dress very showy/flashy, their shoes have shiny buckles, wear bright clothing and beautiful jewelry. They drink as they
please at the taverns when nobody looks. (Cont'd)

My dad's letter pt 2:

They say thet if a human captures a Leprechaun it is quite possible you get to find the gold they secretly keep, but, for this to happen it is necessary
to really keep an eye on the little man, or he will be gone just like that. I have been looking for a shoerepairsman for several weeks now, but today,
something weird made me leave my paintbrushes (-my dad is an artist-) and walked along a street that, to me, it was more of a door to another dimension,
even though it runs paralel to the main avenue, i become disoriented from time to time and the place turns into this kind of time travel machine. Almost
towards the end of my walk I found a shoe parlor, very classic, its door displayed a vintage poster with the image of a magnificent shoemaker, of almost
human proportions, decked in very fitting clothes, vest, knee-high socks and the classic shoes with the big buckles, hammering the sole of the shoe. (cont'd)

My dad's letter (final)

I approached the counter and this short man of unknown age showed up before me, so I went straight to the point, I took out a shoe that has had a ripped seam
for months now, I like these shoes because they are very comfortable, that's why I haven't parted with them. I asked the man if he could repair it, he said
yes. While I was waiting I heard this Vivaldi-like music, all while the man silently repaired my shoe at great speed. Truth to be tols, he didn't know who
the author of the music was and, that for him the beauty of the music was enough. He then gave me my old shoe back, the job he did was outstanding. I then
paid him the five dollars it cost. I praised his job, told him how excellent it was, he didn't even look at me, he was talking to another client. I then
understood that what I needed had been granted, and that whoever this character was it really was none of my busness to know more than I knew then, it's quite
possible he knew what I was thinking therefore words weren't necessary. When I left I kept walking until a soft breeze covered me, reminding me that
happy things are timeless.

I loved your dads letter @ Meissa..... my grandfather used to tell stories like that also and I always believed him.... :)
Btw.... I was once told that I was a "a creature from the sea"... and that many lifes ago I came to PR and lived among the Taino indians here....and fell in love with the island and that is why I am back in PR in this life time ... weird I know.... but then I'm also a tree hugger...not to "give love" lol but to receive energy from the earth...

Eleves are either
evil wood spirits (think about the fairy queen abducting, killing, stealing).
or
ghosts of evil people who died in the forest.

Everything else is Disney crap.

Nadine, I'm glad you enjoyed my dad's letter! He wrote me about that experience not too long ago. He is a very sensitive and humble person. It's weird though, two people have told me I am a mermaid, but, in reality I am afraid of deep waters. I like the ocean, water fascinates me, but, I can't go in farther than what my feet can touch without freaking out. I might have drowned in another life.....who knows. So, boats are out of the question for me.

Meissa2112- Sweetie I've recently been in conversations about the Gosselins & who they are or are not fooling around with, anal bleaching(which I still find funny as hell),how I think Kate G looks in a bikini,Jons wearing or not wearing his wedding ring,Madonnas new kid or project whichever you prefer,so if your dad has stories of leprechauns, fairies, small gnomes or whatever else who am I to say "WHAAAAAAAAATEVER. too out there for me" like others do. I loved it & I really thought it was a beautifully told story, sincerely. Your father has a knack for writing stories. Most people that mock it are also the ones who have spent hours debating what shade Michael Jacksons face was. I love to print it out if you don't mind.

Have you ever met someone and immediately felt as if this person had an expressive energy or aura pouring out from inside?. I remember the post about the oriental lady that came to see you Pat. Animals can feel it and react to it, it is primal.

That being said. My great uncle had a gift with animals. He was the very essence of gentle, caring, honest love and affection for family and friends. The family loved to come see him and his amazingly old pets. Little dachshunds, parrots, lizards and flowers were kept in his patio, where he sat and watched all the kids play. Butterflies and birds would not be bothered and seemed to seek-him-out in his patio. He enjoyed the simple things that kept life uncomplicated; nurture and love.

I was his opposite, but I see the same traits in my younger son (outside collecting rolli-pollies). Now I know he was a special man with a gift he understood.

Sean Harribance in Houston has a brain-wiring thing like you Pat. He also reads colors and auras in people and is very accurate with his predictions. I saw him 5 years ago and he told me things that I thought were impossible, but alas, they came to pass.

Elf?

I love you dad's letter too Meissa. Many credible people have told true stories about little folk. For me, personally, I know there are spirits of those who were human and spirits of those who never were human. I call them Elementals. I try to keep them happy and it is very real to me.

Thanks, DD, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

10doll, I don't mind!!! Watch out for typos though.

Cool story Meissa! Love hearing stories like that! Never really thought about Elementals DD, but I want to know more.

I have a lot of "magic" or clairvoyance in my family, but I don't think I was lucky enough to inherit any of it. I do think I have other gifts though. I wish I could find out info about my past lives, I think it would help me understand myself better. I've always wondered what catergory I would fit into (ie: elf, mermaid, etc).
