Mailbox surprise in the rain

A Hibiscus blooming at the mailbox. I forgot I planted it. Pretty. I'll have to remember to plant more next year, since it seems to like it there.

That is beautiful. My sister in law bought her mom a hibiscus last summer, but it didn't make it :(. Those are really beautiful flowers.

I love them. My son bought me one last year for Mother's Day. The flowers are bright yellow. It's a happy plant.

Are you sure that is a hibiscus? Looks like a mallow plant to me. Did it come up from seeds?

Pat, do you fertilize your plants? How about pest control? I get so many aphids on my roses and some kind of teeny white bug on my petunias. My hibiscus did have a black fungus on the buds, but I just wiped that off, it's fine now.
Your garden seems so healthy, I was wondering about bugs and disease.

That's a Hybiscus and it was greenhouse bought and tagged. It's very large as you can see, it's next to a Zinnia. The Marigolds are huge this year too. I've never seen any mallow plant that looks like that.

No, I don't feed any of my plants. I use some sevin when the grasshoppers get bad. But, it's rained so much, it probably won't help and they're coming.

Aww, that's sweet. I get confused by colorful wallpaper. I like it toned down, sometimes I use a photo shop wash on things like that.
