Octo Ghost?

Nadya Suleman thinks she has a ghost in her house. I tend to believe her because the house looks like it has a "feel" to it and that's something I've picked up before from vids taken in there. But, Nadya is NOT a credible person so she sure isn't going to help the paranormal cause unless someone gets some hard evidence. What I find odd is her statement that you aren't supposed to believe in ghosts if you believe in god. I can't figure out how all that works and never could. Feel free to explain it to me, but, don't preach at me or tell me what to believe or I'll delete you. I think people should be very careful with that bible and cross stuff when dealing with a spirit. Sometimes it DOES help and my theory is, if a ghost was someone who was religious, they can react in a favorable way from religious icons. But, if they were not religious, or if they were anti religion, you can really piss them off with that stuff and get a whole lot of trouble. It's best to get a reading of your spirit from someone who can communicate with them before you go throwing bibles and crosses at them. HERE's Nadya vid where she talks about the ghost.

Also, let me just say, I have a hard time with child ghosts. They are almost always NOT children and they scare me.

Yep. That's what I meant by her not helping the paranornal cause. She's not credible.

I can't help but wonder if she isn't trying to get some face time now that celebrity deaths and the Gosselin's tabloid frenzy have taken a bite out of her 15 minutes.

Maybe she'll call the ghostbuster team from the Sci-Fi channel and try to get on their show for Halloween.

I've never heard of setting out bibles all over to get rid of spirits.

I knew a neighbor years back who thought she had a ghost. She scattered salt all over and lit a great big smudge stick of sage and walked around. She made motions in the air that she called a, "Banishing Pentagram" It was a star like shape. She called on her favorite spiritual beings to help her.

I helped her with this because I have ALWAYS wanted to see a spirit. I didn't see or feel anything but the sage smelled really nice and I got to carry a candle and follow her.

Whatever she did worked because the spirit never bothered her again. I was sort of bummed because I never got to see him...

I officially request a post about your experiences with ghosts! :) I have never seen one and never felt I was in the presence of one before-but many of my friends whose opinions I respect have had these experiences. So, I am curious why some people would see them and others wouldn't. I've read different things about it but I'm wondering what you think.

Salt and sage are universal for cleansing a house of negative energy. I use them, I believe in them. But, I doubt they work on ghosts. I would never say never though. Depends on who's salting and smudging.

Pat,
Maybe my neighbor just hit a lucky day and her spirit was packed and leaving anyway. I just really want to see one ghost.

Nina, the place I find spirits the most is abandoned houses. I think they like them for many reasons. If you're brave, take your camera and go sit in one that has a feel. Talk to them, they can hear you.

Good idea Pat. Thanks!

A few towns over from me there is a really spooky old place that no one has lived in for about 10-12 years. It sits off the beaten track and looks easy enough to get into. I'll rope my sister into going with me. I might even be able to try it this weekend.
Watch, if I actually see something I'll probably pop an artery and never be heard from again!

Yeah. I should have mentioned not going alone. I don;t go alone much because of physical dangers. Peggy stopped me from falling down a hidden well once in our ghost hunting adventures. If I'd been alone I'd still be down there. I do go alone where I'm familiar with a place though. I think abandoned houses are the best real spook places.

Can you send me pics of that place? even if you don;t find a ghost..I'd like to see it.

Nadya, you are full of it.

DD, I agree, child-like ghosts are creepy. The thought of it makes my skin crawl.

What are child-like ghosts usually?

Nina said...

Sure I'll send you a pic.

Dirty Disher said...

I don't know really. I just know that "things" sometimes pretend to be a child so they can get close to you. They are not chidren.

Thanks Nina, that'll be cool.

Maybe I don't want to believe a child can be stuck here. I don't think it happens often. Children seem to "move on" ..but, the things people think are children have bad intentions.

Dirty Disher said...

Oh, and I do belive a spirit can be any age it wants, anytime it wants...at least after they learn a few things. It's hard to explain. But, that's an explanation for a child ghost that's not bad. Sorry, rambling. But, I've seen some scary things that say they are children. Not.

When I was a kid, like 3-4 years old I had an imaginary friend called Ginger Martin, to this day my mum swears it was a spirit of an old man looking out for me cause he had a wife, kids, grandkids, used to work down the mines, basically a whole life.

Mum said it was the freakiest thing to hear this whole background coming out of the mouth of a little kid & unlike other kids imaginary friends, we never played, just used to sit & chat.

She says she would watch me talking to him, her chain smoking & wondering what the fuck to do. lol

One day when I was about 6, he just wasn't there anymore, either he moved on or I became less receptive to him?

I totally believe in ghosts & the paranormal. I think the essence of us has to go somewhere.

Ginger was your friend when you needed him. Maybe it was just time for him to move on. Good story, thanks.

When St Francis of Assisi was tormented by demons, they would come in the form of children.

My brother is religious. he beleves in God (as do I), and prays every morning and night for the souls of family members and friends that have passed. He is an uncomplicated, generous and kind person, but he is very often attacked in his dreams at night.

A person told him that he has a "light"-a thin separation with the other side, and spirits that have not made it across, naturally gravitate to him and his prayers.

He has heard his name called out by children and giggling when he could not find the source. Now he sleeps with the TV on, or it gets bad for him.

I know about that viel. I belive that. I have a tiny bit of inside info and that sounds right. I feel bad for your brother.

My niece often see's a child-like entity in her home. Sometimes you can see most of him and sometimes just his head. The first time she ever experienced it the poor thing could barely cry from shock and was pale white and shaking so badly that we didn't know what to do. The ghost or whatever isn't harmful that we know of and she kind of gets the impression that he's just lonely. But she's young and scared and doesn't know what to make of it and wants him to go away. He's pretty respectful of that and hasn't showed himself in a while. My family lives next to a funeral home so we're not sure if he resides there or in her home.

I live in an old mining town.
For 600 years silver ore was mined here under harsh and cruel conditions. Death was common. Men crushed by rocks, falling down the ladders, drowned. Children pulled through pulleys, crushed or falling into machinery. These people were down in the mines for 12-16 hours a day.

In WW2 there was an important TNT plant here - with some very bad accidents - including explosions smashing people through wire fences turning them into minced meat - and brits and americans bombing houses were the (eastern european) forced workers lived.

And there are no spirits, no ghosts, no nothing.
Why?
Probably because people here are level headed and rational - and don't yell 'ghost' just because they see some fog drifting by or some light reflexion.

well..i was raised southern baptist..as was most of the rest of my family..for generations..and i know that ALL of my family believes in spirits/ghosts. my great grandmother who told me i was going to hell for having my belly button pierced use to see my cousin that had passed constantly..i have seen family members..Ashleigh has seen things..Lane, Ashleigh and I ALL have orbs around us that float around in pictures...so to say you aren't suppose to believe in God and ghosts is pretty far fetched
