I ripped the stupid shoulder pads out of an old shirt and I gave them to BeeBee. She loved them! She decorated her hammock with one and tore the other one to sheds. She was so happy with them. Now I have to start looking for more. She just loves junk. I have to keep an eye on her, she's a hoarder too. You should see the fuss she makes when I throw it all away.

ahh,the 80's- big shoulders and big hair. We looked like linebackers!!!
LOL! I had huge hair. Modified Farrah. With Aqua Net.
That's bean dip on her cage..lol. I have to clean it off, we were having bean dip and doritos.
Gotta love bean dip and Doritos! Pat, I'm sorry, but the thought of a rat for a pet just gives me the heebie-jeebies!
thats so funny! How 'bout finding them in dresser drawers and the dryer? I am still finding them in drawers! I'm like WTH is that for a sec! Then I remember. Gawd awful! Makes me miss The Golden Girls I used to watch every morning while I was laid off for 6 months! LOL
DD, I love it!!! That was so cute. Saturday my little boy is getting a sugar glider. I really don't know that much about them, other than they can fly a little...eeek!
No need to be sorry..lol. The thought of a cat on my pillow heebs me out.
LisaK, I wanna see a pic!
Hate to ask, but what is a Sugar-glider? And "it" can fly around the house? Unless it is a bird in a cage...I don't know....
I just Googled sugar glider--kinda
cute. I will just stick with Dogs and cats. My days of having an Animal Farm are over. We raised all types of creatures when my Boy's were little. Oldest still does have a snake in his room
though. (I don't go in that room-
ever. Hate snakes.)

That is the cutest picture! He is obviously very loved.
I meant to write "She" is obviously very loved...
My kid would be THRILLED if I allowed her to have a pet rat. We tried a kitten a few years ago but that thing was PSYCHO. Even I was afraid of it!!
So, Pat? do you recommend rats??
Not for dating . . .
I raised an orphaned Badger once, top that. Heh.
Rats are wonderful pets. Best for kids old enough to take care of them. Not for toddlers, they're too rough, but, they are just adorable, easy care, loving animals. Smart too.
I meant toddlers are rough, not rats..lmao!
LMAO better watch out that chair you moved out of the house may end up in her cage....hahahahahaha
Connie
That's over in the REAL rats nest. Bwaaaa!
I just love your Bebe posts and hope to see lots more of her! She is one cute little critter. How funny that she's a hoarder too... guess now we know where the term 'pack rat' originated!
Although not a pack rat, my little chi has a fit if I try to get rid of any of her old chewed out toys. After 10 years there are literally dozens of them which we keep in her toy box. She'll dig through it from time to time carefully checking each one (which has a name she can identify, btw) to make sure they're all there. She's much too smart for her own good. Smart, possessive and doesn't share well. lol
I think Bee-Bee is adorable. We had a guinea pig for 8 years and he was fun too.
Pets are just funny. The crazy things they do. Anyone have Ferret? Those suckers are hilarious.
I had ferrets for years. They are so much fun. Our first one would walk on a leash like a dog. They are obsessive with hiding stuff and inventorying it. We would pull all of Pookie's stuff out from under the furniture and put it in a pile in the living room. He would come over and start jumping up and down and dooking because his stuff was messed up. He'd spend at least an hour taking it back where it "belonged".
most rats are able to clean their 'house' themselves.
All rats I ever had loved kitchen roll and toilet paper. If it became to dirty they would push it out of their cave and were happy when I took over from there and took it away.
oh - and a couple of pro-tips:
get at least two rats (two male or two female).
don't use vinegar based cleaning products.
if they show interest in cabling, get them some limestone. They don't like the taste of the insulating, they just want to eat the talcum in the cable.
All rats I ever met went crazy when smelling vinegar based cleansers - biting my mom very hard.
My Chi has a toy box also. That is where her *humpy bear* resides. Do not ask..all i will say is that the poor build a bear did not know what it`s fate was.
I'm not getting another rat. My rat is fine, get over it.
coffeebean, I think they are so cute and a great pet.
Heidi..lol..humpy bear. ha ha ha.
lol this just made me think of your mom and how she keeps things lol
cute pic

Finally a way to recycle shoulder pads! My mother use to tell me horror stories of going to work with 2 and coming home with one! WTF?
I've has ferrets before, very entertaining. I'm all about the Weiner. He has to sleep with you and his favorite place is the thigh. He's portable at 10 pounds and is piddle pad trained. (he's too small to take out into the massive feet of snow in the winter. He sleeps 19 hours a day, but loves to get out of the house too.
He eats one hand full of chicken breast and thigh, (cut up) per day at 5 O'clock on the nose. 1 turd per day on the kitchen floor, which I pick up with a tissue and flush every morning. He's perfect!! Wait a minute, what were we talking about?
I think the weiner dog is so adorable. Everytime I see him there, I laugh.
