Paracelsus's time was the 1500's. There was a belief in Earth Spirits long before that. And yes, I do believe in them and I have seen them. I don't know exactly what they are, but, they are not and never were human. So take your LOL somewhere else. Maybe to a site that spews whatever you were taught, which I'm sure is so superior to my beliefs. Cough.

Yes, I do believe in the spirits of the Earth. These are my photos. The first two were taken years ago. It was odd and I thought maybe it could be a camera malfunction ( I don't really, but, you have to include that possibility)...recently I have started to see that spirit again. In the garden. It is now bigger and has turned a bright orange and I see it with my eyes. I will try very hard to get another picture of it.

The others are a stand of grass I was photographing because I thought something was watching me. It was an odd photo. I pulled up that one spot and changed it to negative on here. Plain as day to me, a little nearly transparent fellow watching. He seems to be smiling with his hands on his hips. Yes, I do believe in Elementals. I think they are very real and I do not wish to piss them off. I welcome skeptics on here, we need a balance. But, I am sick of the LOL's and the comments that I am mentally ill and need a psychiatrist. I have been to psychiatrists and not one of them thinks I am mentally ill. And I don't think you are nice or stable. I would not waste my time typing in things like that on a Christian site. I have things to do. I suggest YOU find some, anon. You are insulting everyone on here who happens to believe differently than you do. And you are making yourself seem rather slow. An intelligent skeptic would have an answer about why they can't believe or why they think we are wrong, rather than silly comments like "moron." Half the time you can't even spell moron.

I believe in them also, haven't had them turn up on any photos but I have had the sensation I'm being watched/observed when I'm outside late at night and just enjoying the silence....
I'll bet if you really go through your photo, you'd find something odd. I know you and you definitely communicate with nature spirits.
Look to your beloved trees, Nadine.
I agree with you and we can not "piss them off", they can wreak havoc.
I think so too. They must be respected.
I love your response, and those photos are very interesting. I was raised Christian, and identify most with Christian beliefs, but anyone who does not wonder about other options, beliefs, ways of life, etc., are not doing their own religion justice because that is just saying that you are afraid to look and maybe find out that things aren't what you thought they were and the idea scares people. The concept of elementals is all new to me so i can't help but be skeptical. I'd love for you to post more info on what you believe in though. It is very interesting regardless of anyones specific belief system. :)
Whoa. The first pictures are clear as day, the grass pics I see something, it's hard to identify though, my eyes get blurry. But SOMETHING is there.
I have odd things in a lot of my photos. I have things around me. My beliefs come from looking at everything and deciding for myself what makes sense for me. I do respect other people's beliefs, as long as no one tries to change mine.
Corina, you are an intelligent skeptic and I love having you on here. You provide a perfect balance. I would never try to change you.
I never really believed in such things. I've never had any experience with them, of course, which would give a whole new perspective.
But the past few years have changed a lot of things and now I realize that just because I haven't experienced something, it doesn't mean it isn't real. I'm less narcissistic - ish (for Kate) than I was before and realize I'm not the centre of all reason.
So I'm interested to see your photos. Don't be offended if I remain unconvinced....it doesn't mean I'm convinced of anything contrary, just suspending my decisions till I feel I've got more to go on.
I do, however, believe the orbs in photos are some kind of spirit. I have some firsthand experience, through another person really, which sealed the deal for me. For now anyway.
You are welcome here and so is your opinion. I like orbs, but, they get weary in photos because everyone thinks they have an orb and some of them are honestly dust or moisture on the lens. But, I have seen orbs without a camera, I have watched them. I watched a yellow one once for over an hour. My son was with me, he had alerted me to it. They are a form or energy that's for sure. Interesting things.
And if I get paranormal pictures, one of the reasons is because I am CONSTANTLY taking photos. I do it all day, every day. I am not a photographer, but, I am kind of obsessed with taking photos. I also try and take spirit photos..I go to haunted feeling places, I invite spirits to pose, I start snapping the camera at home every time I get "that feeling." I even take it to work.
Great pictures. That funnel shaped one sure looks like entering/exiting energy doesn't it?. That shade of red is beautiful, and it must carry quite a bit of energy to fill the red spectrum like that. I'll keep my eyes open for stuff around here.
A man that worked a ranch in Lost Maples TX, told me about lights and rocks that fly around an old indian burial site near there. There are lots of caves and running water with 100's of year old paintings on the walls.
Pat,
I was raised by two noted scientists. God wasn't a part of our upbringing but we were all taught that for as much as science has proven, there is far more it has yet to disprove as well.
We were taught to respect ALL of humanities beliefs because the occurance of common threads throughout history and various cultures leads many scientists to conclude that a base fact must exisit.
During the past 30 years or so the scientific communities have engaged in much more serious studies of all things paranormal. Locators are now employed by Gov. agencies on a regular basis. There are many other studies and ongoing research in dozens of other areas as well.
I've always been intrigued by the fact that cells stay bonded by vibration and not some naturally occuring super-glue. The cells, "know" to stay within a given proximity to its neighbor.
Paracelsus labeled a concept already in exisitence. He did not create it.
I honestly think that vast bodies of water, rocks and trees hold specific and intellegent energies. I can't speak to them or comprehend their communications if they send any, but I know I, "feel" something completely different coming from them.
Every day science uncovers new information leading to more evolved and complex theories. I firmly believe that eventually humans will evolve and begin to uncover and understand the realms and /or fields of energies that surround us. We've been doing it for centuries.
We really are still piss-ants in the grander scheme of things...
2nd Law of Thermodynamics--Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but just changed from one form to another. Rocks frm waterfalls were highly regarded in homes because of the energy believed stored from the water friction on them.
I don't know how I feel about this. It isn't something that I have ever given much thought to. However, I find it fascinating.
It really looks to me in the "negative" picture that your little man has a beak. Does he, or is that just the way the grass looks?
I believe. I gave up trying to explain it years ago because I don't have the answers.
DD, The garden stuff goes back....waaay back. History shows that as far back as the 1600's the Irish were seeing elementals [fairies]. Even in our own North American history the Native Americans were talking about and telling stories of the elementals [fairies]. Funny how back then without computers or phones the Irish/Native Americans were both seeing and talking about the same thing......How.Could.This.Be?
I've never heard of them, but how cool! Now I'll have to be on the lookout for them!
I screwed up meant to type in
1500's. Sorry.
There is always room for intelligent debate from both sides. It only enriches us to know what other people think and find a balance between their ideas and our own. Ridicule however is inappropriate and sad.
Regarding many christian religions and holidays; most are based in pagan beliefs and I think most of us know that. With the exception of their entitlement to judge others without having to look at themselves first, Christians believe and worship almost as many pagan traditions as pagans do. They just frame them in different terms.
There is no grounds for sitting on the high horse and laughing at what other people believe. You only make yourself look ignorant and I'd never take anyone with that attitude seriously. Seriously.
Rocks, soil, water and air have energy. Many far older civilizations than ours believe and discuss and make us of this. The earth is alive and many believe, sentient. I don't know personally if the earth is sentient (I wouldn't doubt it though) but it is certainly alive. The ways in which that life manifests itself are numerous and perhaps uncountable. Elementals, nature spirits, devas, what-have-you...it is not for us to say that these things don't exist. I believe it not only possible but highly likely given the vast diversity of life that can be found even in one square foot of the average garden. I'd also point out that many things were invisible to us before the advent of microscope which are merely mechanical extensions of our sense of sight, aren't they. As we evolve and make better and better mechanical extensions of our senses, who knows what we'll find.
Furthermore whether sentient or not, the earth possesses a wholesome energy that cannot be changed or diverted but it can be taken into oneself for healing and stabilizing purposes. I've resolved illnesses by sleeping on grass or right on naked soil. I got the idea years ago from an old but excellent book called The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. In that book the protagonist becomes ill and his therapy is to lay himself down in one of the naked furrows in one of his fields and sleep there until he gets better. Observers of nature will tell you that animals do the same. They are not concerned with how they look to their neighbours, they merely do what their instinct tells them to do with natural and positive results.
I could not care less who believes me or who doesn't. I know what I know and although even I am skeptical about many things, to me there are certain facts about our planet that are plain as day and completely beyond argument. These things exist despite our lack of knowledge of or names for them, they exist despite our hubris and fears of inadequacy.
Sorry, that should read: "Many far older civilizations than ours believe and discuss and make USE of this."
"We really are still piss-ants in the grander scheme of things"...that's brilliant. I like it.
Jessica, that one assumed a slightly human image for me. He looks like he's trying to appear human. Most of the ones I spot do not resemble humans. They don't give out human energy either. That's how I can tell when I am dealing with something that's not...ghost like,..for lack of a better word.
Sometimes I feel so ignorant trying to explain things I can;t explain. Sorry.
I do like the diversity on here, people who were raised by scientists, people who were raised in religion, people who were raised by ignorant psychos...yet we're all on this little path toghether. If we can't learn something here, it's sad.
Pat,
My mom always had the coolest saying whenever one of us bitched about someone we disliked or held a completely different viewpoint on something;
"To see yourself look into the eyes of your worst enemy. To know yourself walk beside your polar opposite. To discover your soul allow yourself to share time, space and words with diversity" As kids we believed her to be slightly wacked. Now, we tell our own kids the same thing...
I think we all seek to know ourselves better. Many of us are finding our way by strolling with you and each other through your gardens...
Oh, Jessica, I looked again and I see what you mean. No, not a beak. I took that white part to be a pointy ear. His face is to the right and tipped slightly. He's smiling and has button eyes. Of course, that's all in the minds interpretation . But, I think sometimes they try to amuse you with their appearance. Or maybe just not scare you. When I got the photo I was in the middle of a ritual where I offer things to the Elements, and honor them.
Your mom was a wise woman. My mom always said "if you keep crossing your eyes, they will freeze that way."
A friend of mine once likened our journey in life to a special olympics race where the winner opts not to finish the race, waits for his fellow racers to catch up, then they join hands and cross the finish line together. Doesn't matter who's stronger, faster, better or smarter, we're all in this together.
I guess we are.
Dave Scott is a legend of triathlon. Before his last win at Kona he mentioned that his training was off and progress was slow to come. He visited a shaman in Alaska who cleared his energy. Six days before the race his bloodwork was still not optimal. But on the day of the race his bloodwork numbers were the best he had and he won Kona ironman.
The shaman expressed to him that his energy field was cluttered-and that makes sense to me.
Like I said before. Pat must be taking good care of her fairies, her gardens are spectacular! make sure they have water, I was told that by someone that had a very specific fairie garden complete with little stick beds & furniture. Kids love that stuff! And made water vailable to them always. Important. I have a small fairie house in my garden. The fairies keep it clean but when leaves get in they get mad and scoot them right out! It has leaf chairs & a table. All glazed pottery, looks like a green leaf hut. Its very dear to me. And the fairies seem to enjoy it. Its shiny. They love shiny!!

Ok I had to stop looking at the picture yesterday. But looked again today, and yes there is a human-like transparent figure there.
Frimmy, you are right about christian holidays having their origin in pagan rituals. Like the Christmas Tree, for example. Also, when I express what I believe and what I don't, when people give me the "whatever", the "you are crazy" "it's ungodly and you are wrong" without any further argument, I simply agree to deisagree and move on. If someone doesn't believe in something it doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't exist.
slightly OT, yesterday my mom calls me, and she was outside while talking to me. In the middle of the conversation a pigeon poops on her hand, middle finger to be more specific....that's usually a sign of money to come. And yes it did come today.
OK, now I'm completely fascinated. Pat, can you (or any of the other readers) explain elementals to me, in language I can understand? They aren't human ghosts, or animals? Is it energy? Are they "bad" or "good"? I have never heard of them, and I just don't really get it. Is it even something you can even explain?
I still see a beak and almost an eagle mask. That's why I wondered if they are animal energies.
Christian traditions ARE highly based on pagan beliefs. The Christmas Tree symbol and the tradition of celebrating near winter solstice was adapted into Christianity to convince the pagan Germanic Tribes to convert. I think that was one of the most interesting facts i learned in Western Civ last year (omg i love college, haha!)
I'll do a post on them Jessica. I can only tell you what I think they are and there are many other names for them. Yes, there are good ones and bad ones.
