I lost last nights pictures because of the stupid Kodak Easy Share Album. That software is ridiculous. It was updating it's own address book (which I don't use) and trying to give me "helpful tips" in the middle of a load. It kind of blew itself to hell. That sucker hooks itself to the Internet when I'm trying to work on MY computer. It's just a bad idea to put that shit in software and it pisses me off. I am probably going to buy another camera and it will probably be another Vivitar because they have decent software. Kodak is ridiculous with this nonsense and if those of you who have it don't understand how stupid it is, then you've never had decent camera software. Lissa drew the coolest picture of Bart Simpson, it really looked like him, but, she drew it on one of those magnetic drawing boards, so I took a picture. I wanted to save it forever. But, I guess she can draw another one next time she comes. So today, I have what she left behind, which amused me a bit. *
My DIL showed up while Lis and I were still sleeping (we were up until 4 am) and she took my mother to the store. I was like, WTF? I said thanks and then asked her "what, did you smack on a halo today?" She just laughed. My mom has been being real good too, she's left me alone. And I cleaned house like a mad woman the other day and even cleaned toy boxes and junk drawers and tossed out a BUNCH of stuff and mom didn't even rag me. She took it all, but, it didn't end up on her porch this time. I know I should be suspicious of mom and DIL being nice, but, I'm too damn dumb (and it's still too early) to look a gift horse in the mouth. I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.

And Lis said to me, as she left, that I crack her up and I am the funniest Grandma ever. I always tell her mom she behaved perfectly. I always act shocked at the question and say "My goodness, she's a PERFECT child." It's a little joke/secret between us.

I HATE Easy Share too. If you've ever had pictures put on a CD at Walmart you get that program and once you've put the damn thing on your computer it haunts you forever. And then if you finally do get it off and need to get the pictures off that disk again then it starts all over.
How much time do you typically spend in your garden? It looks great Pat, good job.

So glad you had a nice day yesterday, Pat-- hopefully today will shape up just as nicely. You certainly deserve it. And it's especially nice that your Mom's been giving it a rest.

i have 2 olympus' and i never installed the software that came with the camera!!
someone gave me a flip video and i didn't install that software either...whenever i hook it up to my puter it asks if i want to install it and i say NO!

I'm so glad people understand and agree with me that the Kodak softwear is a retarded mess. So is Canon's, which doesn't even work. It's a shame, isn't it? Camera softwear should just load pics and cut and resize, nothing else. It's just a bunch of hooie that slows you down.

I do the same thing to my daughter, bugs the shit out of her ,too. She'll mention something "bad" that my grandson does/did and I"ll say, " Well, he never does that when he's with me." I act all shocked like my angel does NO wrong, when in actuality he has just about driven me crazy!
All their toys laying around, the quiet, kind of makes me sad,but not for long!

Pat, if you only deleted the pics from your camera--didn't reformat, those pictures are still there. Take it to a photo place and they can get Lissa's masterpiece back and you CAN keep it forever.

All my cameras came with shit software. Sony has the same thing...shit! I just use Picasa, it's free and easy. It also has a few editing options that are easy too.

Printer software is right up there. I have an HP printer. That crap pisses me off. I don't use that either. It's on there, but I don't really use it. And the printer itself. Jeebus, that thing takes like five minutes to get going when you turn it on. Things banging around, whining noises, clicking, lights flashing, I think there is less fuss to launch a space shuttle.
I adore you, but, I HATE Picasa. I have it on here and I have to remember to delete that muther fucker. You should try Irfanview. You will shit at how easy it is. It's free too.
I simply DO NOT have the patience to wait for those GD programs to load all their bullshit when I just want to crop and resize. There is no way I could have done a celeb site without Irfanview.
