I have a shit load of tomatoes that I have to can into something and so far the tropical storm in on my way for Saturday or Sunday..this is projected so far so it could go out to sea, become a hurricane, hit someplace else on the Eastern Seaboard.
I have tons of shit to put away outside and if you all not forgotten, I have two herniated discs.
Ugh!
So if you do not see me on here or Moons for a bit, It will be because I am busy.

Anyone wants some tomatoes?
Anybody?
Hello?

i think ted kennedy was a good senator but i can't get past the fact he left that girl in the car to drown....

my van is at my mechanic's in a city close to me...my best friend lives across the street from the mechanic....if my friend walked 20 feet past the front of his house he could see down the mechanic's driveway (it's long and tree lined) to see if my van is being worked on...well you would think that i am asking him to climb mt. everest! and my mechanic doesn't answer his phone....good mechanic though...and cheap, that's why i go there...and he's honest....hopefully my van will be done today...need it this weekend...

trying to do a lot of work in my house before fall classes start monday and i haven't gotten much done! must try to do ALOT today...

I love tomatoes but am allergic to unprocessed or canned ones. How fucked up is that? The only tomatoes that don't break me out our Romas. I have to take tomatoes off my hamburgers when we eat out. Take it easy with your back and don't make it worse. I can just imagine the gosh awful pain you are in.
My bitch today is my husband. I have slept in the guest bedroom for 3 nights now as he is bugging the shit out of me. He has been tossing and turning and sounds like a cow chewing on something. I am to pregnant to put up with that right now.

Talk about being sensitive to the needs of your children and social pressure. This morning my son threw a fit when he saw me putting milk in his lunchbox. He said that everyone would think he was a baby if they saw him drinking THAT. At first I thought he was just objecting to the bottle (green sports bottle) but when I offered to buy him something cooler for his milk he freaked again. "none of the big kids (8 yrs old) drink milk, they only drink soda" This is a kid who hates milk anyway and it is a constant battle with him. Soooooo do I buy this story, do I care, is he pulling my chain?? He will not be getting soda regardless of what other choice I make. My mom would have just said tough shit, thats what I am providing. Then he stomped off to the car with tears on his face yelling that I am always against him, everyone is against him, SLAM! I am not a morning person, sigh.

Shep's sister is coming to visit from Denmark tonight yay!!!I was up last night cleaning up my mother in law's guest room and getting it all ready for her, and during the day I have been helping the MIL clean up her place while her husband was at work. I got half a cat from out the corners with the vaccuum cleaner lol.

Neo is gonna have a hard time adjusting to the 'new people'. He hates change. I think that is the Russian Blue part in him, I know that breed just has a hard time re-adjusting when something changes. Shadow will just hide in the shadows of the woods...

Shep's stepdad (stepdad to all three siblings, they have another brother) makes it a point to bring Shep's sister every year to see her mother, ever since she had the stroke three years ago. He pays for her ticket and other things, that old man has a heart of gold, and a ticket from Denmark to Seattle is not cheap. We almost lost the old lady that time... it was a hard end of the year. I am glad that we live with them, she's about 84 but after the stroke even though she looks like she didn't have one, she's not the same, and has a really hard time doing the things she used to. And being the stubborn lady she is sometimes she does not want help, but I tell her to shove it and keep reading her book lol. I am very proud of my husband for the time he told me he didn't want to move out, because he wants to be close to his mom, due to her age and condition. I don't want us to move either, I like being close to her and keeping an eye on her, and she is very happy when I show up with goodies I make to eat. And the kitty likes to go see grandma every day too. I know I would want to live close to my mom too.

Hey Monica!! Haven't "seen" you in a few days.

Hope your man stops annoying you. He should sleep in the guest room because the pregnant person should get her own bed.

It's been awhile since I posted, but this one caught my eye.

My son battled a bad ear infection (all last week) that we gave up our vacation this year for and thought had cleared up. I have spent many nights in a recliner sitting up with him so he wouldn't have to lie flat. I did this last night after he had a bad day at daycare yesterday and a fussy evening at home. He seemed refreshed and better this morning so off to daycare he went. Of course they called to say he was fussy again so we are off to the doctor later today to have his ears checked.

At this point, I have 3 days of vacation left until next April and we have to beg my MIL to drive 2 hours to stay with him if he is sick again. ARGH! Why is being a working mom this hard?

MonicaW42 said...

Thanks Pat, I am due Christmas.

Hey Snarkie, I have been Gosselined out and not really commenting. Until seeing Kate last night on LKL. Someone needs to lay a "Hot Carl" to her face. Why don't they all just shut up already. I can't stand the Duggars anymore either. If I was married to the oldest son Josh, I would have killed him in his sleep already. Stupid pompous asshole.

Pat , I was wondering if you ever heard of Llewellyn's Moon Sign Book ?? On the front cover it says " Plan you life by the cycles of the moon " . I use it mainly for planting and cutting hair by the best phase or sign of the moon . It also has alot of other interesting stuff in it . Just wondering ..... Linda

TVsnark said...

Alanna, yeah, the boy is gone. I couldn't get an address because I think his mom is homeless. Hopefully, my daughter will see him on the internet.

My son is away tonight, 2nd time only in his 2 & half years. The other time was cause my dad died & I had to fly to Spain for 24hr to stop an asshole cousin from stealing all his shit.

Feels well weird but he is with my sis so I know he is ok.

I am so honored that Tvsnark dedicated a post to me and it was so nice that she admitted that she wasn't wrong, but she owes nobody an apology,I owe one to Mady and Cara for including them in my attempt to throw their mother under the bus, once again. And yes I am YOUR TROLL baby, I BELONG TO ONLY YOU & NOBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD. I do park myself at my computer & rag on anyone's site I can find.Obviously her friends also park themselves at this site, since "her people" sent her sooo many emails about me "schooling" her on her information & I now admit I was wrong. I mean it wouldn't have dawned on me either to think, prior to posting, to look at the pictures that were plastered all over the place from the PA concert and the fact that the same friend was there, with the same headband, in her hair. I mean it was not as obvious as one would think. I am feeling generous tonight, so I will just let it go & try to get a job to raise my kids & stay outta the way of those obviously smarter than me. And I am not Mr. Troll, but THE Mr. Troll , and no I don't choose to talk to you directly, because I'm an embarrassement even to myself.

Hey all...just wanted to post that I got my B.S. last week!! Finally!!

Oh yeah, and this morning, hubby wakes me up out of a sound sleep, asking, "Honey, can you do something about this?" "This" is a black & white kitten, about six months old, and was hiding under our car, and followed Dave into the house. Cute as can be...but we don't need another, and of course--I am getting attached. Put up a notice at the post office that we found him, and have been spreading the word around town. Anybody need a kitteh?

10G (Gina)

Unknown said...

Awwww kitteh!!! Well that happens when they find you, they make themselves at home. No I don't need another one, although I've been trying to talk the hubs into getting another one, but Neo would not appreciate that.

I haven't taken a decent crap in 2 weeks and nothing works. I've taken stool softeners, laxatives, and literally dozens of enemas. I've eaten fiber, drank water, and walked until I hurt. Now I have a fever and can't go to the Dr. because I don't have health insurance and this town is too small for a free clinic.

Vicki said...

10G (Gina): Job well done!!
Congrats.

Nissa said...

I am so pissed off. I started a hpme care branch in my area 3 years ago. Well we got new management in the Corp office who decided they hated me because I was loyal to my old boss. They copied my fucking Facebook and sent it to corp and wrote me up for insubordination, which I refused the sign the write up. THEY FUCKING COPIED MY PERSONAL INFO! I feel violated and told them so. The post was during business hours so that was their justification, even though I was on my break and used my phone to post it. It wasn't even bad, just something about not liking people abusing their power just because they can. Now they are refusing to let me stay part time while I go to school, so tomorrow is my last day and I have 2 kids with serious health problems and no health insurance. I am scared out of my fucking mind and do not know what to do. Whew ok I feel better now LOL

OMG...I just read the best one yet, DD said that people should not judge....OMG....It's great that her whole blog isn't about her judging, criticizing, and bashing people that she does not know, like the GWOPWOP posters do, & she does not want to judge others life choices. I've exploited my granddaughter before... And one of her awesome friends said that her blog is no longer a celebrity blog, because there are some real loons out there that she no longer cares to deal with ever again.....Does this person even know what she is reading & how amazing Dish is? There is no way that she is reading the same blog that I am reading...This just goes to prove how Dishes friends ignore the haters. Man oh Man ...talk about double talk...I double talk so much that there's a good chance I invented it.lol

Clarabel, if your son got that upset talking about it, he must be serious. I'd ask him what he wanted to drink at school and get it. I know you won't allow soda, and that's not unfair. Let him pick something. Babies drink milk..lol..that's a new one on me, but, I'd hate to embarass him. It's not worth it for one meal.

Pat said...

Congrats on your degree, Gina! That is great!

Pat,
Yeah I am a nurse. I am an LPN with an MBA LOL I like initials. I was trying to drop down to part time while I attend a a year bridge program to get my RN. By staying part time I still would have had benefits just at a higher rate. Most places around here do not give benefits to part time workers. I really need to get my RN. I start school Monday and I hope and pray I can find something with benefits that will work with the 11 hours a week I'll be in classes. I tried to privately insure them but cannot due to their medical issues. It's a fucking catch 22 and I hate it!
miss tia & Heidi,
Thanks for the good thoughts!

Clarabell, buy those little 6 or 8 oz bottles of water (in 6 pack) and put that in his lunch. That way it's healthy and probably less expensive. If anyone scoffs that he doesn't have soda - he can tell them he's just "health conscious." And do they (his friends) know how many preservatives and chemicals are in that stuff (soda)?

Clarabel said...

Thanks anon 11:45 (and Pat too) that is not a bad idea. I guess what really threw me was the fact that he has never really seemed very conscience of the whole social "thing". He sees his sisters playing the drama queen part sometimes so I wondered if he was just trying it on for size to see if he could get his way. It wasn't until the tears that I started to really take him seriously. He really does like water and is very into eating healthy so he can be strong in Tae Kwon Do. He is a brown belt now. I'll have to post pics when he getws to black

My grandmother died yesterday morning at 6am. She was 87.She was the kind of grandma that went to church and baked cookies. Just about everybody in the family lived upstairs at grandmoms at one time or another. She would sit next to my bed if I was scared of a thunderstorm. She would lend anyone money. She baked the best cookies and made the best cole slaw ever. I am named after her. Valle. I always hated my name . But to have her name I now realize is an honor.
