Celebrating the eventual end of August, my secret weapon!

In the horrible month of August, there is only one reason to live. It is the month I've named Rocky Month and I always watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show every night as I drift off to sleep, dreaming of Frankie. It's FRANKIE!!!!!!!!!

The sound is slightly off, sorry, but, it must violate some stupid copyright laws to have the whole movie on You Tube now or we'd be watching it. Best musical EVER. I'll see if I can find a full version somewhere else on line for you poor poor people who don't have your own copy.

If that doesn't put you to sleep, nothing will.

You are not gay. I always knew that was a fib. There is no gay man anywhere that doesn't love Frankie. Hmmf.

Aaaahhhhhh... Dammit Janet! RHPS is a classic. I forget about it sometimes and then watch it and fall in love all over again. The first time I saw it I was like 5 or 6, scared the shit out of me. Then I revisited it when I was older and finally 'got it'...In college I dated a guy who was always under suspicion , all questioning went out the window when he wanted to dress up as Magenta. LOL.

I second that Snark. Did you ever see him in the series Earth 2? I LLLLLLLLLLOVED him in that.

I love Tim Curry too. My youngest was watching that old movie Clue. Remember that? I hated that movie and the only thing that saved it for me was him.

I need to dig in the dvd vault downstairs and find my copy. Must watch!

(Sorry to say I still have NOT been able to get thru it even once) Glad to see it still does it for you in the month of august.... hugsssssssssss

I gotta tell you, I am a 25 year old girl and I would give anything for one night with Tim Curry(we could just talk, I'd be happy with that)...AT ANY AGE! He is truly an amazing actor and that voice....sigh! When I first found out that the guy from RHPS was the same guy from The Worst Witch, was the same guy from Clue, AND played Pennywise, well I must say he had me sold! Love Tim Curry and Pat, you are ten times cooler than you already were for liking RHPS!

I just love Rocky Horror, the music is great and timeless and the plot is hilarious. Tim Curry is hot in anything at any age, but, I loved him in this. This was Susan's first movie. The backstory is great, the house was real, not a set.

I will not be back to this thread since you brought up Pennywise. I'll be freaked out for the rest of the day.

Every Friday at midnight during college (don't hate on me!), the local movie house ran RHPS free for us poor intellectual slobs and it was effing great! Total chaos and pandemonium. We'd trash the place, what with all the response props, but they never seemed to freak out over it. I never missed a show, ever. I know every response to every cue. Lots of kids dressed up as their favorite characters and, OMG, there were some gorgeous look-a-likes. We used to have time-warp parties all the time and, yeah, we indulged. Great times, great flick, not quite the same on the small screen, but I haven't seen it in a theatre in more than 15 years now (last time was Newport, RI and I swear I was the only person in the house who had seen the movie before--no audience participation at all--it made me so sad). Long live Curry and RHPS!! They totally rocked the genre.
