The Brits on here will think I'm mad for not discovering this earlier, but, last night I took a chill pill and watched several episodes of something called Geen Wing. I was hooked. It's like Scrubs..only funny. And British. And Bawdy. The episodes are HERE, if you'd like to check it out. I don't think it was the pill, I think it was really hilarious, but, I'll watch some more tonight to make sure. It sure beats reality TV. I'm really sick of reality TV, I've had my fill. It's not real anyhow, it's just bad acting and child exploitation.*
The pharmacy switched my Ambien to some shit called Zolpidem, have you ever heard of that? I'm going to do some research on it, they said it was the same thing, just generic, but, that's not true. It's weird. They always claim their generic verison is exactly the same and it rarely is. I have a problem with that.

Pat, Zolpidem is the generic of Ambien....exact same thing.

I don't think the generic is the same. I tried that and had all kinds of hallucinations. Had to switch back.

Pat - I completely notice a difference when I've taken Zolpidem instead of Ambien. Check online, you'll find boards that discuss this. I know they say they're exactly the same, but they are NOT. Maybe they have the same ingredients but it must be formulated differently. I sleepwalked, sleep-ate, sleep-cleaned the house, any number of things when I've taken Zolpidem and have no memory of it. Never happened with Ambien. I do think my system is a little more sensitive to things like this.
I have a pharmacutical background, they are the same, excactly the same. Your mind is playing tricks on you, no respect intended.
I work in pharma too, but there ARE instances of small differences in raw materials and processes making a difference. One raw material may have a different degradation profile or a slightly different form of the molecule. There was a heart drug where the generic wasn't close enough to the original and it was withdrawn. Generics are supposed to be the same, but sometimes they aren't.
Of course there are differences. People who don't see that probably think plastic laminate flooring looks just like real wood.
I take the generic and have never had a problem. But I don't think everyone if the same. I think some can take it and some cann't. If you want the Ambien, there is a place to check on most prescription pads that says to fill as Dr. prescribed. Then tell your Doc to write it out
for Ambien only. And you can underline ONLY. Some insurances insist that if there is a generic for a prescription then you must take it. But a Dr. can over ride that.
No one in my husband's family that has tried the generic for Wellbutren (sp?) can take it. It gives them nightmares. We were having the generic discussion one day and that info came up. Some we didn't even know were on antipressants, but when I said my husband couldn't take the generic they fessed up. We were pretty shocked that this seemed to be a family thing.

What network is it on? I would love to watch it. I love brit comedy its fab. Anyone watched are you being served? its my fav.. I also love watching brit comedy because its drives my hub up the wall he hate ther accent.

What is your background in pharms? Taking muliple kinds of meds does not make you an expert. Just makes you in need of meds, maybe more or a different amount than you currently take. I think you need some stable counseling, and I am not sure any child unsupervised around you or your mother is a good idea. If you want better for your GD, you may need to step back and think about this. I read your blog. Sometimes it is entertaining and other times it is so dark and frightening. Are you receiving help Pat?
