Matthew, Gunnar, and Sam Nelson "Garden Party"

No offence to Ricky Nelson, but, his son's do a much better version of this. Nice harmonies and that catchy bass line that Ricky never had in his. It's a sweet old song. Easy to play too.

Pat, Thank you for this. I always loved this song and what a wonderful, soothing and touching video.

The second time I watched it I had the lyrics on the screen so I could sing along.

My favorite line:
Yoko brought her walrus, there was magic in the air

Did Yoko really buy a walrus or was that a metaphor?? I love Yoko.

I thought Yoko bring her walrus refered to John Lennon cuz he wrote "I am the Walrus"

I think Frimmy was right. It was a metaphor for John.

Yoko follows ME on Twitter!

A few years ago she became my friend on MySpace and actually sent me a direct message once. I was floored. I felt like a was 2 degrees from John Lennon! I was on a high for days.

Gawd, the history for this song is intense. Kinda sad actually. I always loved Ricky. He was killed on NYE in Texas, when I was still living in Texas, 1986, still pregnant with my daughter. My husband is named for Ricky. I will lsiten to this when I am not at work. Those bys used to have the most beautiful flowing blonde hair. Ricky was so gorgeous. thax for this Pat.

TVSnark: Yoko is the best. I love her too. So many hate her. I always say if John loved her, how is that a bad thing? She follows my daughter too. And sent her a Twitter msg before. Gawd, my daughter loves Yoko! She & Liz Taylor really are into the Twitter thing. My daugter follows both of them as well. They are 2 great ones.
