Tish sent these in and the flower grows in her driveway and it's called a Passion Flower or a May Pop. Her Father says he has eaten the fruit. Is that what they call Passion Fruit? It's a pretty thing and reminds me of my Eggplant blossoms. We have the wild May Apple here, but, not the May Pop. I like it! Thanks, Tish.

I live in SC and I have noticed these growing by the road. For the life of me I couldn't find out what they were no matter how hard I searched.Now I've learned something from this site. = )
I've never seen these flowers where I live, in PR, but the fruits they have are not Passion Fruits, those do grow here and they grow on enormous bushes, almost trees. Here Passion Fruit is known as Parcha.

When I was young, my daddy used to pick those for me and I remember that I liked them. Wish I could find some now.
