The evil aunt gave her a present that they'd already broken. Glow rings which won't glow and they made her say thank you. It pissed me off. I told her this morning to go over to Tuwella's and eat breakfast because I was out of milk. I don't keep milk in the house when I'm not expecting Lissa to visit. She just ran back in here crying because Tuwella called her a bad name. So, WTF? I go over there and she'd called her bull headed, which she is, and I had to explain it to her. I told Mom you can't just call her something she doesn't understand and not explain it to her, geez. I think she thought it was a cuss word. Her feelings were hurt. I hate to leave her there when I go to work today. With that hat on and that haircut, these pictures kind of shocked me. She looks exactly like her dad at that age. Exactly. I wish I had my scanner hooked up, so I could show you. It's freaky. The flowers are tall this year, aren't they?

She is adorable and bull-headed has it's good points too! I've dug my stubborn self in a few time and been darn glad I did.

I think it's not so much the words as the tone. Anything could be a nasty word or insult if said in a certain way. She's just perceptive.
Also, I have the same Cubs hat. She has great taste!
What's awesome is that Lis didn't even know what "bullheaded" meant. What's sad is that she had to learn it because of your mom. I'm so glad you have each other. You and Lis give each other peace, and a safe place from the madness.
The fact that she doesn't know what bullheaded is, and that she doesn't like cuss words, tells me that she is treated with respect, kindness and love at her own home. Am I right? I never heard my parents cuss or be disrespectful to each other and/or around us. I am glad Lissa has that same environment.
What I love, among many things about Alissa is that she enjoys everything given to her whether they are broken or not, she finds a use for them and that is her imagination which is wonderful to see.
So long as she knows she is loved, it will all work out and I know she feels that. It can be the age too

Bull-headed reminds me of Amber my oldest. We were having a fight (she was 12) and she kept getting right in my face and I finally said what the hell makes you think you can talk to me that way. She says"You always tell me to stand up for my self and not take crap from anybody"! All I could say was "I didnt mean me! I am your father"!!! She didnt care and as a father I am so proud of her. She doest take shit from anybody. Even her father.
Bullheaded certainly has its place:)

These pics of Lis make me smile Pat. She has a combo of Princess and Tomboy going on about her.

Absolutely nothing wrong with being bullheaded. Samantha is already showing she inherited her momma's stubbornness, and that's fine by me..even when it ticks me off. lol.
Lis has such a pretty hair color. Does she have freckles? She looks like she could be a little Irish. Might also be where the bullheaded comes from. What's your heritage Pat?
No, she has no freckles and tans easy. I am of Cherokee and German decent. My family was always upset that I was a blond albino.
