Rare form

Not the Rose, I was just playing with all the camera's settings and that's as good as it gets. It was Lissa who was in rare form last night. Casey was visiting and she went and got Lis and brought her here. First they went out to dinner with Casey's dad and she entertained the whole restaurant, it sounded like. And she wasn't being obnoxious, she was just being herself. She was high on happiness and attention. She sang "Shake Your Booty" for them, and said grandma Pat taught her that. I don't think I taught her that, I just showed her it was a real song on You Tube. When they got back here I got some of it on film and I've been cracking up watching it. She was just really animated and not in that pukey way kids are sometimes when they're faking it. It was real until she ran out of steam and got silly around midnight. She had me and Casey rolling laughing at her and she liked that, but, she was serious about telling us everything that happened in this "street fight" she got into. She said some boys kicked her and she had to run for her life. FOR HER LIFE! She had her hands on her hips and was shaking her finger. She threw herself back against my door explaining it and put her arm over her eyes, oh, the drama! She doesn't have a kids voice, she has this real low voice, it's different. Kind of gravely when she gets deep. She doesn't pronounce everything perfectly yet, but, man, she makes you understand her. I asked her who won the fight and she said "Oh, I did. (casual) But the boys was good fighters." I'm so glad I got it on video. It will be a family classic. The five year old Iowa gang war champion.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world, but, Casey and I were both worn out this morning and Lissa screamed and didn't want to go home, so Casey wrapped her in a blanket and carried her to the car, screeching all the way. She was pretty good until this morning though, she says she's not a morning person. Who is? Man, it's suddenly very quiet here.

Kids are a breath of fresh air. Without them you really can't call a home a home. At least that's how I feel. When my kid is napping the house is too quiet.

That little cutie sounds like pure spirited energy! You can feel how much you love her right through your words. I love that.

Kids with non- kid voices are the best. I know a 3 year old little boy that kind of sounds like Wolfman Jack with a lisp. He is honestly one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Lissa sounds like she's following in your footsteps with her ability to tell a good story.

I'm checking out video editing software so I can put some of her on here. I filmed this one sideways, so I have to change that.

Naseem, come on! Don't you love nap time? I do. Lissa doesn;t nap anymore, but, I'd like to sometimes. LOL!

She seems like such a pistol. I like her! Maybe she wants to babysit Sam for me when she gets a little older?

When does Lissa start school? School around here began last week.

We'd babysit Sammy!

Lis starts school next week and she's happy about it.

The whole way to drop her off at her moms she was crying and saying, " I JUST WANT PAT, I LOVE HER, I LOOOOOOVE HER! I JUST WANT TO GO BACK TO PATS FOR KISSES!!!!!" I said, Liss, I love you, but you can't stay at gma pats by yourself. She has to go to work and so do I" She finaly started to calm down. By the time we got to her mom's house, she had calmed down quite a bit. We walked in and she sat down on the couch and started telling her mom how she made gma pat and aunt Casey laugh so hard last night, and she started laughing just talking about it. She cracks me up.
