It's nearly 9 pm here and a bizarre yellow light just flooded the room. I thought it was a fire. I ran out to look and it was the sky! Old timers say a yellow sky means a tornado's on it's way. I've found that to be true, but, not this kind of yellow. The sky in Iowa is NEVER this color and it only lasted a minute. I can't believe I got a photo of it. And then I turned around and in the darkening sky, right over my house, was a perfect rainbow. A few stars show through in a cloud break. Some day's are just a gift from the Universe. ~Shakes head in amazment.~

Wow. Nice photos!
Very very very very beautiful pics Pat!!!!! Sometimes I wish I have my camera handy. But I have to just soak it in and leave it on the back of my mind.....
I remember one time I was in Florida, and the skies turned a hue of green I had never seen before....it was a very stong wind/rainstorm. It was raining so hard you couldn't see past your windshield. It took some trees down and blew a few roofs too.
It always gets that color here after it hails.I love the rainbow DD..I love it when there is a double rainbow too. The pics are Beeeutiful!
omg... LOVE your shots!!! Beeutiful!
Beautiful pictures! I have never seen a sky that color!
Pat, e-mail on its way to you!!! go check!
I agree with the yellow sky. I've only seen one a couple of times and bad weather was never far behind or had just rolled through.
wow, that color is absolutely awe inspiring! Can't believe you captured it! We get an eerie yellow here some days, but nothing like that. Tonight we had a soft red sky. Thunderstorms were supposed to come, but looks like they missed us.
We also have the saying "Red skies at night; sailers delight. Red skies in morn; sailors be warned."
WOW! Those pictures are stunning! Mother Nature can be truly bizarre.
Photos like that need canvas and oils...Beautiful!
Totally lemony...and bitchin', too.
