Coyote sent me these pics, she collects the advertising crockery and her mom made the white pieces back in the 70's. I could tell someone made them in ceramics class before I read her email, I can tell by the look of the glaze. And your mom did a good job. I'd keep and use those too, they're nice. People often make the mistake of doing too much decoration on poured pieces and I'm glad your mom didn't. I like the sponge painting technique too. Coyote collects made in the USA pieces. I liked the way you displayed them too, on that black iron shelf. It's just so pretty. Thanks, I love seeing other people's homes. I was jealous of all your plug ins, lol.

...such a fabulous collection.
Especially the ones your Mom made.
They are special in my mind.
Pat--My plug-ins? Thanks for posting the pics, it was unexpected. I thought you might like to see the bowls since you and I feel somewhat the same about the comfort they give us.
Yes, Vicki, I'm really attached to the ones my Mom made--my daughter has a few pieces that I didn't show.
I forgot to turn all the wheat pattern bowls around except for one. DOH
I forgot to tell about one of my favorite finds. I can't find it anywhere on the web. It's a brown 4 piece percolator coffee pot. It's in perfect shape (made in USA). I can't find it on the web and I've never seen another.
Knowing the younger generation, when I kick the bucket, you might be able to find some good deals in garage sales. Haha That's okay, I enjoyed finding them, and enjoyed having them.
I love this kind of topic.
You had nice wall plug ins in some of the photos. Wall sockets? I have.....none. I live in extension cord city.
Oh, wall sockets!!! DOH We once had an apartment--it was over an old carriage house. I think there were two plugs in the whole place so I'm very familiar with extension cord living. It used to rock (not shake) back and forth. My fil once thought he was having a stroke because he got dizzy! I had to convince him that he wasn't dying, that the house was rocking. There was no insulation and there was a whole town of squirrels living in the walls and attic. I hung wash out the window on one of those pulley lines. I can still see shirts and diapers that were frozen solid! The kitchen sink was down around my knees, we had a claw foot tub, and my eldest used to let marbles and his cars roll from one room to the next--it was so slanted. Oh, those were the days. I'd take them back in a second. Lots of good times and memories.
I love crockery. Your mom's pieces are wonderful. I love ANYTHING with a blue patternt too. Beautiful way to display them !
Thanks, Nina. I actually kind of bunched them together to show the blue. Then I remembered I had another one down below in the cabinet and another sweet little little pitcher on top of my cute little painted desk!
