Home made jams. I gathered the wild fruit and slaved over the hot stove. I'm not a very good liar, eh? I made jam once and it came out runny and I will never do it again because it was time consuming. These are a store brand and they come in cute reusable jar glasses which I'll save to put herbs and seeds in. They were $1.59 each and are good sized. I tasted the blackberry and it's just as good as Smuckers. Smuckers is for suckers. I like the looks of the jars of fruit. I live in my kitchen and it's full of weird stuff. There's some peach pits I saved. Bee likes them as a chew toy and I'll plant some of them and see what happens.

No, yer not a good liar. Where did you get them for such a good price. I agree they are product that keeps on giving. After enjoying the jam, you can enjoy the glasses, the bees can enjoy them, and maybe you'll get some plants out of them. Such a deal!!
I know, less than half the price of the regular brands. They're on sale and I went back and bought two of every kind except strawberry. I hate stawberry, but, I love jam. It's only a bargain if it tases good though.
I can't even stand the smell of a strawberry or blueberries. I just about die if someone orders something with them--hard to stay at the table.
I love jam...I think the jars are adorable...but it's the jam that pulls me in and makes my mouth water. Blackberry jam on English muffins is just as good as applebutter!
Is that a marble top on your counter or cabinet?
OMG OMG!!! Pat! forget the dust! I cannot believe this! I used to have a set of those green jewel candle sticks! And someone else has them. Wow. Mine never had candles in them, I think I got them for a wedding gift back in the 70's!!! LOL...I had forgotten all about them! I dont know what ever happened to mine. Thats so funny to see them. Jeez...Hey! Maybe those were mine!? hahaha...wouldn't that be something?!

Coyote..I also dont like the smell of many fruits. If someone in my house bought apple dish soap and they are using it, I can smell it when I get home as soon as I get to my door. And it makes me sick, it smells like rotten garbage to me. Rotten apples. Yuck. I dont think soap should smell like fruit. Hot soapy rotten fruit. Yuck.

rox,
I'm glad there's someone else that feels the same as I do. My stomach does a tumble even if a kid goes by with strawberry/blueberry gum!
Strawberry shampoo. Not allowed in my house!
Pat, rox re-gifted to you? Hahaha
I love the smell of fresh fruits, but imitation fruit scent in anything is pretty disgusting.
There's three of those weird greed candle sticks. I got them in an auction box. You want them back, Rox? :)
Mmmmm...I look forward to making jams and jellies...they are really quite easy, Pat. Give it another try and forget about the boring stuff you buy at the grocers.
Go for the fun ones! My favorites are kiwi, raspbery-rhubarb, and apricot-pineapple. This week I'm trying watermellon jelly!
