Vicki Walker was fired from her job at New Zealand's ProCare Health for sending all caps emails with bold red text to coworkers. The emails pertained to how they should fill out company forms, but, they were considered confrontational. She later took them to court and sued for wrongful termination and won. I am not glad she won. I wish she had stayed fired. All caps anything is annoying and I refuse to even try to read it. Mass mailings are sickening too. No, I don't want every address in your book, thanks, I feel so special. I hope Vicki Walker gets fired again and her pink slip reads "YOU'RE FIRED BECAUSE YOU IS STOOPID!!!"

She would have a fit whenever someone would use the "wrong color pen" or leave their chair without pushing it under their desk.
She's been gone for over 2 years (I actually do her job now) but is still the butt of jokes almost every week.

I agree. BUT.. I work with a women who sends e-mail in all caps. Her excuse? She is poor at typing and in all caps she doesn't have to worry about punctuation or capitalization.

She is a waitress it is not a job requirement that she use e-mail. I explained that is appears you are yelling. (verbally, not in e-mail) Now she rarely sends anyone a note. ....sigh...... Which means you have to listen to more of her voice.

chat shortcuts are purely for being faster. I dont chat! I use them sometimes in my phone texting. Never used "Gr8" tho! Gawd...I dont know too many, short & sweet is the general rule. The shortcuts just help. All caps is considered rude. Ask Miss Manners.

I hate text speak. I have 40 year old friends that text me that crap and I won't respond because it looks like a 4 year old wrote it. I love texts but write them like you would normally.
