Does anyone else watch Pawn Stars?

I've become a huge fan of Pawn Stars, the reality show takes place in a Vegas pawn shop and the owners and help are so over the top. The old man is part mafia, part Vaudeville..the bald guy is a high roller with the most sense, and his son is the fat worthless one who has no sense. Idiots who think they're art dealers and morons trying to figure out what's stolen complete the staff. It's always entertaining. They really need a good woman dealer in the mix to introduce some girly items. Not that I don't love junk boats, airplanes that won't fly and old military uniforms, but, come on..how about some vintage designer gowns and bags, boys?

I love this show! I like the old man. To me he looks like an old time blackjack dealer. He just sits back and watches and offers his bits of wisdom. Rick (the bald guy) is definitely the wheeler-dealer of the family. The kid and Chumley are just low level idiots that really don't have a handle on the business. I think the show is a little too staged but it is interesting to see what people bring in. Sad when they bring in family heirlooms but times are tough.

Oh goodness I have seen this show twice. 3 generations running this business, could you imagine dealing with the grandpa in his day I would love to hear him say "I'll make you a deal you can't refuse", I agree with you the dad has the most sense and really seems to know his stuff, and that son he got lucky on that boat he bought although I was hoping that it was worthless because I think dad would have placed him on the boat with cement shoes and placed some extra holes in the boat to make it sink quicker.

It blew me away how much they spent on that airplane. I had no idea it would cost so much to refurbish the interior. The ejector seat was interesting too, and the guy who thinks he knows art is dimmer than a two-watt bulb.
I've been to my share of pawn shops (my husband loves to go shopping in search of great deals), but I always have the feeling that Pawn Stars is undervaluing items. I guess that must be how it works. Buying very, very low.

Yes I do! I thought I was the only one who watched it. They are such great guys. They had problems with one girl who didn't seem to know how to show up on time. Well they put on night shift as punishment then kind of let it go. It is so entertaining. You are right, the bald guy is the best and his son is a nit wit. The old guy is funny, very different humor. When the son was buying that rodeo horse I thought he was insane. Turns out it was a good investment but he just seems lucky not good. Same with the speed boat. That business wouldn't survive without the bald guy.

LOL, I just watched the ep where they bought the old mafia Linclon and it cost 15 grand to redo the interior. The old man says "Little bastard lied to me." Then he decided to keep it and drive it himself. LOL..great show.

My husband just started watching that. There's like 15 on our DVR. I've seen a couple, it seems good. Kind of like a cooler version of Antiques Roadshow. I like so see the things people bring in and find out they are worth serious $$$.

My sister just turned me on to this show a couple of days ago and now I can't get enough! LOVE that Caddy with the suicide doors. Don't blame the old man for keeping it. I would've too.

I love the old man. Did you see the ep where he lost the bet watch bet with the kid and had to wear blue jeans to work? He's such a dapper dresser!

escrow ~

Check the History channel. It's on Mondays and probably other days.

Did anyone watch the newest epi where Rick was going to buy an old Shelby Cobra body, but had to first find out if it was original? Help, I fell asleep, ... was it real? did he buy it?

escrow, you can watch full episodes on You Tube.

The Shelby Cobra body turned out to be real and was worth a fortune. Like 60 grand and they had paid the guy to haul it off!!

Thanks, DD. I saw the part where the guy got the car body for free, plus paid to haul it. Then I passed out ; )
Did Rick buy it?

Love that show & Rick, but his son is an idiot. He could never take over the business from his dad.

This show is awesome. I really laughed last night when a woman brought in a box of old Playboys and the bald guy told one of the female employees to go through them to see what was there and she asked if she could have a pair of gloves. She was dead serious and he told her no. The look on her face was priceless!

I watch it sometimes, I have so many shows I like its hard to find time to watch them all...poor me. Anyway, its a good show. Last one I saw was when the niece was being taught how to recognize a genuine rolex.

Yes the Cobra turned out to be the real thing, and they had it restored. Then at the end, they took it to a track and drove it. The rebulider guy said the car, finished, was worth 165,00! I LOVE the old man, and would totally umm do him! I love theones where people are SURE what they have an absoultely priceless treasures, and it turns out to be fake! Did you see the one where the guy got took on a gun, and he was afraid to tell his wife? LOL Last night some guy showed up, and said he had Willie Nelson's key chain? TOTALLY was trying get one over on Chumlee. Or the guy who had a guitar, and he thought it should be worth a lot of money because it was allegedly played at Al Capone's birthday party? OH PLEASE! Who would care??? Can you tell I watch alot of tv? lol

Corina..lol..totally. I love where the people are idiots or think Rick is. I heard him explain about "autographed" guitars and I learned something. Most of it is such bullshit. Chuck Berry signs pick guards! Piles of them, he's paid to. Then some idiot screws them on guitars and trys to pass it off like it's Chuck Berry's guitar. What a scam.
