Happy Yule, lovely Winter Solstice

The Sun is sleeping and goddess Moon keeps watch. The Green Man is quietly jingling around ready to bring Pagan children presents. I will spend the day blogging and tonight, on the long night, I have some rituals and offerings to give to the Elementals and spirits. Later I have some movies to watch, a nice dinner and eggnog. I love eggnog. It's going to be a quiet night alone. I am in a peaceful mood and festive too. The lights are twinkling and all seems right in my world.

My Pagan friends, I wish you a very Happy Yule and may we all wrap ourselves warmly in the cloak of starry darkness to find light eternal.

Maureen it is the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. Read the Pagan yule story below. Yule is the orignal holiday.

And thanks!

Pat,
That pic and post sends the warmest and most sincere message.Thank you.

I'm a confirmed atheist but I do have a real warm spot in my heart for my Pagan friends. I have attended their circles and rituals and always leave feeling clearer and comforted. I do think, if their is something more substantial than simple chemical reactions going on it's origins of truth lie in the more natural and life giving nature based religions.

May the darkness of the longest night be your comfoting shawl as you journey toward your brightest days. Happy Yule my friend.

Thank you! Happy Yule! thinking of you often.
I went to the spa today and got new hair. My Ronnie (guy) was on a roll and it is really new. Kind of Auburn and Highlighted. Great way to start the shortest day and into the longest night we go!

Happy Yule and Winter Solstice!

I had my Pagan Solstice celebration ceremony last friday with friends, right after our monthly drum circle, we honored the Gods and Goddess of Nature and the Universe, and our ancerstors too. We each brought a candle home and are committed to light it up to welcome the sun when it's time in our zone.

Darkness, Hail and Fairwell!

Pat ~ Happy and peaceful Yule to you. For many years, I've always looked forward to this day because it means starting tomorrow the days will ever so slowly get longer :)

No Pagen here, just a plain vanilla Unitarian.
