Nissa ~ thanks for the link. He's really good, but then he should be considering who his parents are. Saw him & his mom singing together on one of the morning shows. Sweet.

The Christmas song I have difficulty listening to (I change stations) is
"I'll be Home for Christmas".
My dad was career navy and rarely home for Christmas. Dad (retired) passed away almost 3 years ago. The song still chokes me up.
Sorry.......

Can one of you please tell me where I put the battery charger to my camera? I am freaking out! I have to do a Christmas photo shoot for a paying client tomorrow and cannot find my battery charger. HELP!

So Pat, THANKS!!!!! Holy shit! It fell back behind the fridge. I didn't even think to look in the kitchen because I keep it in my camera bag. So when I was looking in the kitchen Riss told me she had used my camera and had put the charger on the fridge, where it fell behind. That thing would have been there until we moved. Thank you very much:)

Favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night. But it must be sung by someone with a Strong voice or a really good choir. Kinda strange, I'm not religious At All, but I like most of the religious Christmas songs. Reminds me of when I was a little kid.

Found this one with Johnny Mathis.

Nissa, if you listen until the end of O Holy Night, there's a little something special for you.

I have his Christmas CD and love them all. I saw him live at a small theater last year and he was AMAZING in that small venue. He ONLY had a piano accompanying him. I was surprised at how STRONG his voice was. He's still got it! His wife came on stage after the show with their 2 boys.

I also love me some of the Man in Black. Here is a link to Johnny Cash singing Silent Night. It reminds me of my Grandma Maude. We used to listen to Johnny at her house all the time

Nissa,
Did you see Adam Lambert do "Ring of Fire" on American Idol? I thought it was hot hot hot. But I will always wonder if Johnny was rolling over in his grave.

I LOVE jt! Sweet baby James was the first album I ever got and it is still one of my favorites. I have been to see him several times in concert and I am never dissapointed. My favorite christmas song is Andy Williams "It's the most wonderful time of the year". I've noticed that they are playing the crap out of it this year. It used to be kind of obscure but I have been listening to it for at least 40 years.

I have always loved The Christmas Song (Nat does it best). Last year I discovered Straight No Chaser and like their version of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Also like Chris Botti's version of Ave Maria.

@ my9cats-

I hate that song too, for the very same reason you do...I always have to change it. My dad has been gone for 4 years, so I really feel for you.....My favorite Christmas song is River....I think the original is by Joni Mitchell, but I love every version I have ever heard....

The Christmas Song (only the Nat King Cole version)

O Holy Night (gives me chills...)

Away In A Manger (I sing it to my kids every year)

Bayou Jane said...

Not a Christmas song, but Johnny Cash's "Hurt" means a lot to me right now. I just kost my husband.

Christina said...

Bayou Jane, I'm so sorry for your loss!
I love Christmas music, and when I was a little younger I started listening to it every August. I just couldn't wait any longer.
I really do like almost everything, but when my kitties were still alive, I always picked Away in a Manger to sing to them on Christmas Eve, and still follow the tradition with my puppies.
I love James Taylor, too. Sweet Baby James, Shower the People You Love With Love, etc.
